Really passable!!!
I got this because like many people, I've become addicted to making myself egg drop soup. That said, chicken broth with actual chicken makes me very sick. I tried several broths that basically tasted like salted water, this one tastes like actual chicken broth! It's really good not only for soup, but adding in when I'm cooking rice to add some depth of flavor as a base for my dish. If you meal prep, making your rice with a little bit of this would be a game changer! It also can be folded into seitán or tempei pretty easily which makes it taste Costco like rotisserie chicken 🥹If you're someone who's used to animal products but is having trouble adjusting to non-animal product stuff because it just doesn't taste right, this is a really good broth.

Surprise yourself with how good you can cook--if you add some of this to almost everything!
Don't know how to cook?Just sprinkle this on almost anything and it comes out like you do! I add a heaping spoonful/cup to make soups and stews; a heaping spoonful to 1/2 cup make any kind of sauce that starts from a roux--mustard, lemon, mushroom, herb; a heaping spoonful to 1/4 cup for marinades. Works with white and red meat, fish and vegetarian. Add a light spray of oil and sprinkle with broth to lightly coat pan-fried, broiled or grilled veggies, meats or fish. We use this in 6/7 meals per week, and basically get a three pack about every 6 weeks for a family of three.Until you have time to read Julia Child cover-to-cover, this packet has you covered! Sure, there's salt and sugar in it, but you won't be adding salt at the table, and if you stuff yourself full of delicious grilled chicken and veggies you prepared with it, you won't be craving crackers, cookies or whatnot after. This is a can't miss staple for everyone who likes to cook, and loves to eat, but is too busy to devote the whole afternoon to preparing something good for dinner! Bon appetit!d

Exactly as described!
I like frontier brand I bought this for my son. He and his family really love it. He uses this for a multitude of things actually not necessarily broth, but as an additive as seasoning into other foods, he says he would recommend it, and he would buy it again.. I purchase a lot of frontier products and I’ve always been satisfied with them. I’ve been a customer for years I would highly recommend this company.

Tasty, salty, and beware of 3 pack offer...
I like to use this in recipes for soups, stews, and gravies. It's versatile in a lot of recipes, but the salt content is pretty high. As for the offer that ran during late Feb. 2024, for about $15 you were to get three of these one-pound packs, but only one was sent and when the replacement of all three packs were sent, again, only one pack arrived. Same mistake twice! So beware; you might get just one when three are advertised, and even if they sent you a replacement, you might still only receive just one pack. Customer service at Amazon is still excellent though, so contact them if you get shorted.

NOT CHICKEN & PERFECT FOR VEGETARIANS!
It is exactly what it advertises. Dried vegan chicken flavored broth. Well packaged, good consistency, excellent shelf life, and well priced. I have purchased several times and will continue to do so. A good company with which to do business.

Nice to have in the pantry
Have used this to 'soup up' the flavor of our homemade soups and it works wonderfully. Doesn't seem to be as salty as regular chicken bullion powders.

Nothing like the stuff at Whole Foods - maybe I got a bad batch
UPDATED AGAIN: Nope, can't use this anymore. I found a recipe to make my own and it doesn't use filler corn syrup solids, and other weirdness. The recipe uses actual nutritional yeast, kosher salt, parsley, celery seed, onion flakes, garlic powder, marjoram, basil, thyme, rosemary, paprika. Lots of good spices and herbs just like real chicken stuff and absolutely no weird stuff like corn syrup solids, etc. I don't understand why this product gets good reviews since there's so little actual flavor to it. It tastes basically like salty water with celery... no other flavors :(Updated 03/22/2014: I doubled the powder to water and celery is what I can smell as it cooks and strong flavor of celery, too.I think I'll add some other spices and herbs I just bought from The Spice House to help neutralize some of that strong celery.----------------------------------------------------------------We go through the stuff from whole foods like crazy. I'm allergic to chicken, but the broth gives such excellent flavor. I thought that there wouldn't be much of a difference, if any, so I bought the three 16 oz bags here.WF doesn't always have it and I love the convenience of online shopping, so this seemed like such a good idea.Honestly, out of the three of us in this house, not one of us could tell this had any flavor at all.I really don't understand why not, it looks like it's made with herbs and spices, so I'm pretty frustrated.I'll donate the two unopened bags, but we tossed the rest of the open bag. We had tried it in two of our usual recipes and it seemed no better than water :( I really really really wanted to like this.I wouldn't buy this again.I wish I could return it.
