GIRL!!!!! It works great!
I have the kind of hair that you don't know what you are going to get until you wake up have your coffee and then start to get ready for the day. Could be a wild hair day, could be a good hair day, could be I should buy a wig day.BUT this curling iron helps me through it! Heats quickly, Curls hold, Easy to use, Great Quality. Great Design.

Great for fine hair and cheap!
Excellent curling iron for thin hair. It heats up quickly and is definitely hot. Left me with a nice wave that lasted.

good size for longer hair
This curling rod is a 1-3/4". makes for a looser curl for my curly hair. Working out fine, but just be careful- it gets HOT. It is a bulkier rod, and it does not have a real good grip on the handle, like grooves or silicone. Also the very tip where you should be able to touch it for stability while curling, also gets hot! It should not do that. It should be insulated enough to hold. I'm keeping it as there are not alot of huge curling irons of this size.

Hands down the best curling iron I've ever used!
I've had this same brand/model curling iron for about 10 years now & LOVE everything about it. It finally died on me a few days ago, only because I've been pretty careless with its cord when I travel/store it, and because I have used it pretty often throughout its life span (honestly, I wasn't expecting it to last as long as it has!). It is such a great product that I HAD to get another, so I was really excited to see that amazon still sells this model (the ones sold in stores do not have the +/- heat buttons anymore, which I prefer a lot more as opposed to the dial that the new ones have).I have given other curling iron brands and sizes a try but this is honestly still the best one I've used. It's super easy to use, my hair never gets stuck in it, it swivels so it's easy to curl without having the cord get in the way, the curls last me all day--I never use hairspray (unless I want my curls super tight all day), it is the perfect size & is versatile when it comes to different styling techniques: tight curls, looser curls, waves, layer styling etc. I get compliments on my hair every time I use it!!Another bonus is that the plates are ceramic so it's super smooth & allows the hair to glide in & out without it getting stuck, allows for even heat coverage, helps minimize frizz & add more of a shine to your curl (which is my favorite part about this curler) & is overall a little less damaging to your hair than other/cheaper metals that other curling irons are made of.**For the reviews that say...1) ..the buttons get in the way: it just depends on how you hold it. It's never been an issue for me & has probably only happened a handful of times throughout the 10 year span of using it.2) .. the curls don't hold/last: every hair type is different so in some cases you would have to either:a) hold the curl a few seconds longer before letting gob) turn up the heat settingc) wait for 2nd day hair (the hair is easier to style when it's not "freshly washed")d) consider using a styling cream before &/or a hairspray aftere) you need to switch up the way you USE/HOLD the iron. Trust me, this one is usually the problem. I've had friends borrow my curling iron & have had that same problem of their hair not curling/holding the curl, until I showed them how I use it. (YouTube tutorials are your best friend!)$15 for a great quality curling iron that will last you a very long time is definitely a steal in my opinion.

Perfect for the Job!
The photo is an example of what my curls end up looking like with this product. I have had this curling iron for almost three years now, and it works perfectly! Easily fits in my suitcase when I travel. I like how you can adjust what temperature you want. I like to keep it low to reduce damage to hair. Makes beautiful curls, the perfect size!

Fine for occassional use
A curling iron isn't something I use often, which is why I didn't want to shell out a lot of money for one. That said, you get what you pay for most of the time, and this is an example of that. It functions "fine." Not great, not horrible, but fine. Since I'm going to use it maybe three times a month, tops, there are some things I'm willing to put up with that might be deal-breakers for other people.Pros:1. It heats quickly and evenly.2. It has a decently long cord, and the cord "wrangler" is permanently attached so you can put it away neatly3. The heat sleeve is a nice addition since I'm not a fan of scorch marks on countertops.4. The price.Cons:1. The far-too-short and rounded "nipple tip" on the end. Bad design. There is almost no way to not burn your fingers when trying to hold the end. And sometimes, if you have longer hair and are working on the back of your head, you need to be able to touch the end of the curling iron.2. The on/off and control switches. Their operation is not very intuitive, and they feel flimsy. I'm guessing this will be the first part to break.3. The temperature in general runs very hot. I have a lot of hair, but it is very fine and straight. Even on the lowest setting, I wouldn't date leave my hair wound on this iron form more than three or four seconds for fear of it burning.

Love this curling iron
Love my curling iron. I always had straight, fine hair, but after doing chemo 2 years ago, it all fell out, and grew back in 3 different colors and frizzy!!! So it's gotten back to shoulder length, but my bangs are still awful. If I use this large curling iron on them, they look so much better I can go without a wig.

Must get 1 1/4 curling iron!
I was pleasantly surprised on how nice this curling iron is. First of all, it is so lightweight and easy to grip. There are several heat settings based on your hair type. The cord is long enough and so far does not get all tangled up. My hair slides through the barrel and clamp with ease. Nice to know you can still find a really good curling iron without breaking the bank.
