Clairol Blonde It Up, Permanent High Lift No Bleach, Platinum Blonde

I used this out of pure curiosity… I am a full bleach root normally but saw this and thought it would have to be healthier for my hair and scalp than bleach. My natural hair is a dark brown with lots of warmth.At best, I was expecting a dark golden root that I’d have to go over with 6% bleach … to say I’m impressed is an understatement!!! I left it on for about 30 mins and it lifted my small root to match the rest of my hair. My head tingled but didn’t burn or itch. My hair feels good after it like I’ve not done anything to it. Definitely worth it and i think I’ll be sticking to this going forward.

I felt the need to write an honest review because I PANICKED when I washed this out as I thought my hair turned ginger, but I added a bit of purple shampoo and then blow dried it and it's gone such a lovely even colour, (i didn't do the roots though so can't say whether they would go orange from the heat of the scalp, but the instructions said to do the roots last so as long as thats followed should be okay)Would defo use again as I've had many a dodgy bleach job and my hair doesn't feel like straw after, it feels great after conditioning

Absolutely love this hair dye. The salon damaged my hair so bad with bleach so I am really back on a hair care journey, but still trying to keep looking fresh. This dye lifted my brown roots lovely and doesn't leave my hair feeling crispy, it does leave me a bit ginger but I pair it with the 'blonde it up toner' (same company) and it tames it down so well. Be sure not to leave the toner on too long as you will go dark! I'm just hoping these products don't discontinue any time soon!

Didn't lift colour at all, I'd understand if I had dark hair but I have blonde hair already!

After going to the hairdresser for six months to go blonde from dark and paying £400, my hair was not that much lighter overall. I would say half gold blonde and half dark, using this after one use I am soooo shocked. It was an all over light to gold blonde (some dark streaks still at the ends where it’s being really hard to remove it but still blends well like low lights). It has gone even, some streaks look a little on the brassy side but in such a small way. I didn’t use the purple mask provided so if I had of done it could have taken them away in all fairness. But I will 100% be using this now as my go to. So happy! And as I said I had such dark coloured hair before I started the hairdressers so I’m just so happy I came across this product. It’s amazed me. No more bleaching and ruining my hair- this left it in great condition too I would like to add. In the past when I have used bleach myself I have just ruined my hair. Happy customer here. I don’t even usually leave reviews but I had to for this.

I only have mousey blonde hair, so I don't have many levels to lift for a nice light blonde. This stuff only seems to lift 2 levels and just makes it brassy to top it off. I have used it twice now over the last year (once every 6 months) and I will sadly have to try something harsher to get the lift I wanted. I do like that it is a no bleach formula, so at least my hair isn't totally dried to a crisp.
