The Betty Crocker Cookbook, 13th Edition: Everything You Need to Know to Cook Today (Betty Crocker Cooking)

I wish this particular cookbook would have existed 25 years ago, when I moved out on my own. This book has everything you will need and more. I made the meatball recipe with ground chicken, and they were the best meatballs I’ve ever tasted. They turned out perfect. I used the meatballs in the Swedish Meatball Soup recipe, which was also really good. I made the soup in a dutch oven in about 30 minutes, instead of letting it simmer in a slow cooker for several hours like the recipe calls for, and I think the flavor would have been richer had it cooked in the slow cooker. Also, the broth gets absorbed by the noodles, especially if there are leftovers, so next time I plan to double the amount of broth that the recipe calls for. I’m looking forward to trying more of the recipes in this book. This cookbook would make an amazing gift for anyone who enjoys cooking or is learning to cook. Mine came in great condition. Some of the pages do have print streaks on them, but it’s not bad and would still be suitable to give as a gift. It also has a ribbon bookmark.

I love this cookbook. The family I nanny for had this book and that is why I ordered it. Really simple easy recipes that I can do with the kiddos!

In mint condition. Even "crackled" when I opened it to look inside.

This book is great. I have been cooking since I was little and some of the recipes are classic, what is nice is they also pair with it a new updated version of the recipe or something similar. It makes for a lot of options and so many recipes to try! They also have a lot of cooking information and instructions, which I liked a lot. The only reason I dropped a star is that I previously had checked out the book at a library. The cookbook fell a couple feet and the binding came apart. I am not sure if it was just that book or of they all have weak binding. Despite that I still asked for it for Christmas, because I liked it so much. Just be extra careful not to accidentally let it fall.

I bought it as a gift for a couple starting out. They were thrilled and it is outstanding with colorvul photos, recipes and so mucb more.

Purchased for a gift, was very well received. I feel well worth the price point. Will be getting another for my teenage granddaughter.
