Totally addicted to this series!
I found the first book at a garage sale and HAD to find the second book after I finished the first. Tea Rose was a great sequel and literally got me addicted to the series! It came in the condition and time expected.

The Teapot Caper
This is book #1 in the Guideposts series "Tearoom Mysteries". This book introduces widowed cousins Elaine Cook and Jan Blake. They purchase a Victorian home in Maine and turn it into a Tea House. In the process of renovating they find a ring that is one of the plots and cause them to do some digging into the houses ancestry. They cousins also check flea markets for teapots and cups. One teapot turns out to be worth a lot of money and it's suspicious if it is stolen property since someone wants it back. Then things began to happen at the Tearoom. The Tearoom is broken into, a woman is found snooping, a burglar, and a few more oddities. The cousins figure it all out. There is introduction to a possible romance for one the cousins

Most enjoyable read
I enjoyed this light cosy mystery at a stressful but moving time when I was finally visiting my elderly parents down south after the ease of the lock down. The setting of a Tea Room where three lovely ladies serve delicious and mouth watering cakes and fancies along with teas from around the world was warm and welcoming, with alluring and disturbing mysteries which took you quickly into the plot and so it wasn’t difficult to get to know the characters. Rose has found a death certificate ~ hers ~ just after her mother’s death. As the mystery is gradually unravelled other mysteries add to the drama involving the falling of the Berlin Wall and escape, the mysterious disappearance of an expensive broach and lace making, all woven to intrigue and compel you to the finale.I won’t divulge the ins and outs of this novel but suffice it to say that it was well written with a plethora of characters to like, mistrust, doubt and feel reassured by and the overriding warmth of the power of friendship and family overrides it all.
