Makita 191G05-4 5" X-LOCK Tool-less Dust Extraction Cutting/Tuck Point Guard

The media could not be loaded.  This is a very well made accessory. It is compatible with the XAG26z X-Lock grinder and the vacuum port is compatible right out the box with the XCV11z vaccuum.The reason this model is needed for the X Lock grinders is the guard size hole is 2" with the 5 nubs, whereas normal Makita grinders with toolless guard change have an 1 5/8" with the 5 nubs. I know this because I tried to buy a Makita quick change concrete grinding dust shroud and it didn't fit. As it is, Makita doesn't make a compatible one for X Lock, and they don't make grinding cup wheels in X Lock yet. The day I got this Masonry cutting accessory in I used it on a 2 inch thick concrete wet bed from an old gas fireplace that needed removing, making score marks in a grid pattern to take it up methodically.The plunge cut aspect to it is awesome, and the 2 dials on the back can either: lock the blade at a position (top dial) or set it so the plunge doesn't go below a certain depth (bottom knob). The bottom part is a bit fiddly and wobbly, but it tightens down decent enough. The red alignment guide was correct right out of the box. Other than the small viewing window and dust port, everything else is all metal construction.Overall, it's a very nice piece of kit.

Why Makita have few sizes? Not compatible with GA5049C, if not then will be nice to have some reducers......
