USB Priority??
USB2 Bluetooth dongle for mouse. I put the dongle in port 10, everything was ok. I put a USB 3 thumb drive in port 7. The mouse stopped working. Moved the dongle to port 1, restarted the pc and it started working again. I notice that 4 external drives (USB2 and USB3 mixed) acted strange when placed in certain ports. All ports work so I suspect there is some type of hierarchy going on. I will continue to test. Update Oct 2, 2022 well the mouse dongle died (?), I don’t know if this thing killed it or not, and 7 of the blue leds are out, the ports still work.

Good 10-port powered USB 3.0 hub
I connected this 10-port USB 3.0 hub to a pair of powerful and fast gaming laptops running Windows 8.1 and Windows 10. Connecting the hub via the powered slots on both laptops resulted in nearly instantaneous powering-up of the hub. It lives up to its "Plug-and-Play" installation boast. I then connected 5 portable hard drives of various sizes made by Western Digital and Seagate in an attempt to vary the hub's operation and load.Operation of the drives was essentially flawless, although one drive refused to be recognized by one of the laptops and required my using Windows' Control Panel and the Device Manager to uninstall the drive and then re-install its drivers 3 times in quick succession during the drive's re-installation in order to get computer recognition of the wayward drive. This strange need for physically installing a driver 3 times in 3 separate locations in Control Panel is the usual number necessary these days, don't ask me why.Once installation of the driver was completed, all 5 drives operated flawlessly. Data transmission is as fast as usual for me but never approaches the 5120Mbps (640MBps) that's supposedly the capability of this hub. My best is about a quarter of that speed. That's good enough for my purposes. The hub seems robustly constructed and should last for years if treated carefully. The cables that are provided are longer than the usual skimpy length offered these days, which is really convenient. No need to tightly configure everything in order to satisfy short cords. I like this hub's generous number of USB connections and its all-around ease of use. If you're looking for a large USB 3.0 hub, this one seems like a good one.

Quality Hub
My main computer has a limited number of USB ports, so I’ve always had to have a hub. But with all the USB devices I have now, even that is too limited. So I decided to look for a new USB hub. After a bit of searching, I found this one and ordered it.I selected this particular hub for a number of reasons. Firstly, it has 10 USB 3.0 ports on it. Most of the others I saw had far fewer ports and only had a few that were USB 3.0. I know this hub will work with any USB device I have.Secondly, all the ports on this hub are both data and charging ports. Again, on most of the other hubs, only a couple of the ports were dusl function. And third, I liked the metal construction of this hub. It’s not cheap plastic like a lot of the others I saw. I know this hub will last.My computer recognized the hub immediately when I plugged it in. And every USB device I plugged into it was recognized as well.I’m very happy with this USB hub and definitely recommend it

Worked great for a few weeks
This hub was great for my desktop needs. Worked wonderfully for a few weeks then randomly stopped recognizing anything with 3.0. It is now largely useless for the needs I previously purchased it for.

Does not work as a non-pc powered USB hub
I was hoping I'd be able to plug it in and use it as a solution to power a number of USB devices that don't need to be hooked up to a PC, and unfortunately, it does not work. The ports power up for a second when power is given to the hub, then cut out completely. There's still power to the hub, as evidenced by the red light on the rear of the device, but no device receives power and no lights around any ports come on.
