I love it

So I was looking for something very specific to recreate a 1960s stewardess look. I tried shopping vintage and other stores and just nothing was right. There were a few options on Amazon though so I gave this one a shot and at first I was kinda disappointed and was going to send it back. It was way bigger then I thought it would be and it just looked off. Also the elastic wasn’t tight enough to fit around my head. But after trying other options I found this one was the best option I had. So here’s what I did. I tied the elastic so that it would be tighter and made my hair into a French twist so that it would fill out the extra space in the back. I think it turned out pretty good in the end but it took some messing with it to get it to work.

Seriously the cutest hat. I glued a headband on the inside so it would stay put instead of using the string it comes with. Worked like a charm. Color matched my dress perfectly it’s not quite mustard more like a sunflower yellow. Loved it.

Arrived crushed, with no package protecting the hat. Returned immediately. The hat would be "costume" quality, not "wardrobe" quality -- thin felt, feels cardboard-y.

This was a great base to add to for my Dolores Umbridge Halloween costume.Comes with both a black elastic band and headband (I super glued teh headband in to get the hat to stay on at the right angle.
