Hello, Yes, they work in a wider shoe.

Will these work in 3E wide cycling shoes to displace metarsal pressure in the mid forefoot area?

We believe that the insole will work because it is hard everywhere, but if it doesn't provide the comfort you want, you can return the product easily.

Wow. That's a horrible demonstration video. The shoe with the insert looks like it still flexes as much as the shoe without it. What am i missing?

There is definitely more resistance to bending in the shoe with the insert, but it’s not completely inflexible. I ended up returning mine because they caused my legs to hurt all the way up to my knees when playing pickleball. I was really hoping hoping they would work as I haven’t been able to find any shoes or inserts that limit the bend in my shoes, which I need for arthritis in my feet.

Can this insoles help with heat? On hot surfaces

They are thin but very stiff. Don't think they would help with the heat.
