Vintage Camera Restoration
I have several vintage Kodak Brownie box cameras, each 80-90 years old, in which the mirrors in the viewfinders have list some or so of the silvering. As an alternative to re-silvering I decided to try a reflective plastic with adhesive backing. Most of the ones on Amazon are 1/8" or thicker, much thicker than the original mirrors. This one is paper-thin so I figured applying it to the original mirror glass with the silver removed would be thin enough to not materially affect the view. Based on initial test (see photos), it seems to work well enough. I'll update is use in the field is any different.

I got these for use in making baby toys...perfect.
I have literally searched the internet for hours looking for an unbreakable mirror to insert into baby toys that I am sewing. I came across these mirrored sheets by Idea-ology and decided to give them a try (Love Amazon! These arrived the next day.) I was able to mark on the back where I wanted to cut (made sure pen had ink at tip by writing on paper first because the back is slightly "waxy/slippery to write on). I tried an Exacto knife to cut them - although I didn't press very hard - and it only cut the paper backing. Then I successfully used regular scissors to cut them. When the front protection is peeled off the mirror is very clear (I can see myself). Regarding it looking like a carnival mirror, that's what curved mirrors do, so if this isn't perfectly flat the object in the mirror looks a little distorted. Since this is a bendable product that is possible. I inserted this inside a Taggy toy for a baby by sewing a frame into the fabric and then inserting the mirror from the side. This CANNOT be sewn on (in my opinion). It's way too thick for a needle to go through. These should be perfect in a fabric book for baby. I bought more.

Good product but you can get better price from other vendors
I cut the products into mirrors for the inside of greeting cards made to be given to small children. I like the clarity of the mirrors. Small glass mirrors can be gotten cheaper but are not safe for children and would be less likely to survive a USPS trip inside a greeting card. I first got this product several years ago when it was way less than half the current price. Currently Amazon markets equivalent items at cheaper prices than from this vendor.

Background surface must is smooth.
Make sure the surface you are adhering this material to is smooth. I tried to cover a broken car-door mirror but the irregular surface on the mirror (caused by fracture lines) created a distorted image. Otherwise this is a remarkable product.

make sure you take the plastic wrap off the mirror! it will then be clear to see through it
make sure you take the plastic wrap off the mirror, lol many ppl are giving wrong reviews saying it is not reflecting its because there is a protective wrap on the mirror. when i took that off it is a regular mirror but my reflection was not equal to reality. the mirror has some strange magnification strength to it like a near sighted glasses .. but for me that didn't mater because i am using this for my center pieces and also as a decorative leaves in my house later after that .. it could be a quick reference to how you look before you leave the house and you can put makeup in it but you will leave with a bad headache in your eyes .. it is sturdy enough but not hard which means you can mend it into a cylinder. shipping was fast.

some what OK-, but probably not for miniatures
purchased to use as mirrors in my miniatures--they are somewhat ok,--but do have distortion depending on angle and distance how you look into the mirror( the fun mirror at the carnival)--overly reflective--for miniatures --I was a little disappointed -you sometimes put a lot of work into them--so you want accuracy- next time I will use maybe actual 1/16" rectangular mirror pieces

Never without spots or scratches.
I keep purchasing these from the same person because sometimes I have no choice because I need them for my shop immediately and they are hard to find. Absolutely everytime one of the sheets have light scratches through them or small marks. You absolutely cannot touch this type mirror with your finger, skin or towel (even micro fiber), brand new soft blush brush, tissue or anything because there will be a mark. However, I keep buying this brand because it is most like a real mirror for the craft I sell. Maybe this company is not storing them correctly and they are getting scratched that way. They should open one for themselves and they will surely see what I'm talking about.

Perfect for me!
Perfect! I use these all over my preschool classroom and at home in my little girl's room. They are perfect in the dramatic play area (esp for dress-up), science center, block center, etc. You can peel and use the sticky backing to adhere it to walls or whatever, or leave it on and have a mirror to move around. If you need a larger area, you can put them next to one another (like tile). I used decorative washi tape to make a frame around some of mine and they are perfect! I will definitely be buying more of these.Oh, and concerning the mirror quality: these mirrors provide a good quality reflection. Obviously not picture-perfect, but definitely more of a true image and not "funhouse" style or anything like what you'd see on a mylar balloon or whatever. Make sure you take off the protective film before judging the mirror quality ;)
