normal rice cooker
Delay time not accurate, sometimes 10 minutes earlier finished. I set up two hours but finished in 1 hour 50 mins and I set up 1 hour but rice done in 50 mins. I set up 12 hours comes out on time! Not a big problem but still....I won't return or exchange it since no other issue, at least for now.

Way better than my old $20 Aroma rice cooker
I picked up one of the returned units of this for around $60. I couldn't tell you how well this'll work a year from now but it does way better than any other rice cooker I've owned. The pot is 2 pounds 13 ounces of iron that's been coated in a non-stick. 2 cups of rice (the lowest water line on the bowl) took 30 minutes. It's been in the warming mode for 9 hours and the rice is still great. The rice doesn't overcook and stick on the bottom, like the $20 rice cooker you've had for a decade. It isn't loud at all. I'm pretty much sold on induction rice cookers after one use.Cons? It doesn't play you a little tune, like the $130-$200 rice cookers from Japan.

Can’t live without my rice cooker
I was on the hunt for a new rice cooker as my last Aroma cooker finally died after many years. One of the qualities I was searching for was a well constructed pot. Well, I found that Aroma made one and was ecstatic as I almost purchased a far more expensive cooker that had ended up with no way to replace pots if needed.I cook quinoa, oatmeal, and lentils on a weekly basis so I needed a reliable machine. The first experience of cooking with the Aroma Induction Rice Cooker didn’t go well because the measurement recommendations in the manual were conflicting, as well as, on their website. I reached out to Aroma and within a day, they responded with clarification. I haven’t had any issues since then.So far, Aroma is holding up as a quality, well made, sturdy machine. I highly recommend this cooker over the higher priced competitors.I will add that the internal pot is heavier than expected, which made the machine feel even more durable than previous models.

Love!!!!
I have a much older version from Aroma, and it has always been reliable. The new induction steamer is AWESOME!! The new pot is very thick, and will definitely heat/cook evenly for rice or whatever else you throw at it!
