No, it's not shiny paper. Very good quality. I like it. I always simply write my appointments on a post-it and stick it on my calendar. That way I don't need to erase if my appointment changes.

how big is each block for writing can you write a lot in one block?

The blocks are large enough for several entries. That's why I got the calendar.

Why does it starts on Jul 2022????? Where are the other months?

Some calendars start at the middle of one year and continue. If you look at the wording, it says July 2022-December 2023. So instead of just getting 12 months, you actually get 18 months.
