This book is a short non-mathematical description of current ideas regarding the nature of dark-matter. Nicely described are various ways dark-matter reveals itself to astronomers. Also presented are ideas for what dark-matter is made of. Current research methods, especially gravitional lensing, are described.One thing I especially liked was an extensive list at the end of the book showing books and current research journal articles the author consulted and also co-authored.The book's author, Charles Keeton, is also author of "PRINCIPLES OF ASTROPHYSICS", one of the best books on astrophysics I have ever worked thru. Anyone with a strong background in mathematics and physics should be sure to check it out!
