Hourglass Sand Timer - Helping You to Slow Down in an Accelerating World - Large Size

I wanted an hourglass because I like to keep track of time. That is, time seems to go by so fast for me these days I wanted something to help me mentally appreciate the passage of time. I look at my watch and wow, it's been two hours? Instead I can watch this hourglass and trust its low-tech operation to let me know and feel time passing. I timed it and I like that it is almost EXACTLY one hour, plus or minus 30 seconds.This hourglass is very well made and looks beautiful. The natural cherry-finished wood looks impressive anywhere in the house, making it a stylish and attractive addition to my living room. Highly recommended.

I am pleased with my order. It looks exactly like its picture. I found no discrepancies and it works hour by hour. Fabulous!

This was purchased as a Christmas present. It is a very nice piece. Built well, has a nice, dark finish to the wood, and is very sturdy. The only drawback is that it isn't accurate. We tested it, and it takes 55 minutes for all of the sand to run from one globe to the other. That said, we didn't buy it for a timepiece, more of a decoration, which it does well.

Very nice looking Hourglass Timer. The only problem - it is not 60 minutes timer as described and expected: it is 45-46 minutes only. Timing error is 25% that is unacceptable for this type of product.

The media could not be loaded. I got tired of hearing my kids yelling “hey Google set a timer” and want my kids to have things in their life that are analog such as clocks with hands and an hourglass. We now use this to manage screen time and reading time instead. High quality product, arrives in nice packaging with a reminder to slow things down. I’m all for it.

Silicone feet don’t sit flush on my sample. Feet can easily be trimmed as they are not fastened at all. I will trim the feet and find a way to glue them in place so they don’t end up in a child’s stomach.Deep rich cherry stain on my sample. All the wood is smooth and feels well built which surprised me for the low price.57 minutes 50 seconds of calming sand flow. Just shy of a full hour. Close enough for me. I’ve sat here over the past couple days just watching the sand. It’s very hypnotic!Just make sure the feet are flush and fasten them in the holes so they don’t pop out so easily and this would get 5 stars.

I feel almost guilty, jumping online to write this review considering the card included with the delivery, urging me to embrace a human pace.The sand appears to spill so quickly, gathering at the bottom, yet when you look up, so much time is left...I couldn't be happier with my purchase, and I highly recommend this as a gift for yourself, or anyone else you know that could benefit from a "Hey. Slow down." reminder.

The hour glass matches the wood furniture in the family room perfectly. Excellent addition. Perfect size and works perfect. Would definitely recommend.
