Do not trust amazon on the warranty. I had a similar Asus product break and it has been a nightmare. Amazon are supposed to deal with warranty requests but can't cope with anything over 2 years and Asus don't have a way to deal with it because their providers are supposed to. Buy off someone else for the warranty.

Yes. The QoS is basically ran via DPI for adaptive management, as opposed to alternatives using SQM/AQM with codel/fq_codel and CAKE. Essentially trend micro provide the router's software that runs the adaptive QoS alongside them providing the security. I considered this router but it is not supported by Merlin so I opted for the AX88U in it's stead as I can run Merlin on it with fq_codel and a docsis (cable) specific frame overhead.

Ax89 will nat 7Gb of traffic. Check your WiFi. You probably need WiFi 6 in its fastest mode. WiFi link speed needs to be double the throughput you want to achieve. I get 1.2Gb from a virgin media hub in modem mode

If you are asking can it work with a BT like connection, no, not without a modem. Get a Draytek Vigor 130 modem. For most OPenreach broadband providers BT included they are plug and play. But for Sky and a couple of others, you need to change settings. a tick here and there nothing bad. and the generic credentials which Draytek tell you on their website if you google it. IF you use BT IPTV, then you might just want to keep the BT router and put the Asus router behind it. Why, due to BT TV needing signals let through with take a lot of setting up for. But if you don't use BT TV, then the Vigor 130 is a good match. You might get better speeds out of the line, and more stable. NOTE - Asus router asked about does not have a modem. so that is why you need the Vigor modem. It is a router, switch and wifi. As many routers these days are. You can get some Asus routers that do have a modem, but most don't.
