I really like this hive stand. It assembles just like a bed frame, and can adjust from 8-frame to 10-frame box size easily. It does need to be assembled with a few ft/lbs of force however. Perhaps a lock washer, or use of a Nyloc instead of a standard nut should be considered, in order to avoid Sudden Hive Stand Collapse Disorder….

*Updated review to add: While the stand did not meet my needs, Mann Lake most definitely made things right. They reached out to me and made sure that I was able to complete the return and receive a refund. I am 100 percent satisfied with their customer service.I bought this stand specifically because it had feet. (Because we have so many ants in our area, I was intending to put the feet in cans of mineral oil to avoid ants overrunning our hives.)Bought one stand to try out, before I bought more. I'm really glad that I only bought one to start, because I do not like it at all. Unfortunately, I didn't realize that the return window was so short, and hadn't assembled it right away. It doesn't meet my expectations (reasons below) and now I am out almost a hundred dollars for two small pieces of metal I'll never use.-It is WAY too short. The picture wasn't taken from the best angle, but the "raised" stand is no taller than my ankle boot. Utterly pointless.-The metal itself is strong, but due to the way it connects, the stand is shaky, even with the 4 bolts completely tightened. It makes the hive feel like it is top heavy, and would be prone to falling over.I really wish I could return this, because I cannot use it.

This is a great hive stand. I put the feet in oil to keep ants out of my hive. In case anyone was wondering, this is a very sturdy hive stand as long as you tighten the nuts with a wrench. It's basically like a very small bedframe and the metal is just as thick. In case anyone was wondering, the feet are about 6 inches high, and the width is adjustable between the width of an 8-frame to a standard 10-frame hive body. There are certain people trolling product reviews here. Don't believe them.

This was a very needed product that I received in relatively short period of time in order to put my new B package on a hive box which was very important that I would get it done before the bees expired. Most importantly it came on time and rapidly

This stand is not strong at all. The legs are buckling under the weight of my hive. It is difficult to level this hive unless the ground is perfectly flat. This hive stand is total junk. I am sorry I bought it. I wouldn't recommend this stand to any one.

Overall I think this frame will work out well. Very heavy duty and should support the weight of the hive once placed, however the stand I received had a bent frame right where the locking screw is supposed to be affixed, so I returned it for full refund. Plant purchase another once refunded, just hope not to receive the same damaged product again. Rating low simply due to damage, not the sturdiness of the frame itself.Updated, second one ordered (replaced) This time frame arrived in good condition. Nothing bent. Seems like it will be strong and hold hive boxes very well. I like the feet as well because you have the ability to put them control ant investation into the hive by creating motes around them. Looking forward to using this soon!
