As a professional chef I can highly recommend this knife.People get intimidated by the size but it has many application in the kitchen that most chefs don't see.

Feels like a good knife, nice box, shape, design, feels good, but was not sharp at all. My brisket was nice and tender as stew and was having a hard time cutting it. So don’t expect it to be sharp out of the box. Took mine to a knife sharpener and now it cuts paper! Would 5* if it was sharp.

Purchased this mainly to slice meat, I enjoy smoking briskets and making my own jerky. I thought this might be an answer to carving meat and slicing roasts for jerky. I just received it and I had a roast ready to cut and get in my marinade so it was a great time to give it a try. I was very pleased as to how easily it sliced through the thick dense English roast. I was able to easily cut the slices to my exact thickness needed for jerky. The ripple design above the cutting edge on the blade allowed the smooth slices to fall away and not hang up on the blade. I would recommend this knife for anyone needing a large slicer, it may even be good for those of you that are dragon slayers, but I’ll stick to Brisket, jerky and chicken.

Item as described, came very sharp and ready to use. I have used it a couple of times and had no issues cutting cold brisket and hot pizza with it.

This is a pretty good set of steak knives. They look good and are sharp out of the box. They come packaged well and after cleaning off the shipping oil they’ll be good. The handles are nice smooth wood and they have a good weight in the handThe Damascus pattern on the knifes is fake, I think it’s laser etched on. But that doesn’t really matter to me since the rest of the knife is still pretty solid.Overall I’d say these are good for the price!
