Well Made. Great PRICE!! A life-saver for my Recording Studio!!!
This device is a life-saver in my Recording Studio. I have been looking for months for a "talk back" system to use with Pro Tools and my Studio...... and this thing is the bomb. I use 2 sets of speaker with it to switch back and forth to listen to the sound quality. The dim switch is great for automatically lowering the music in my room when talking to a client, but still having the music on. Its super easy to use and I love it!!The setup was SO easy that I could hardly believe it. There are 4 headphone plugins that you can use for mixing. LOVE THAT!!! And the level indicator on the front is great.

Fabulous Monitor Controller
I needed a monitor controller to switch between my Yamaha HS8's and Avantone MixCube for mixing and initially bought a Mackie Big Knob but it didn't cut it so I returned it and went with this PreSonus Monitor Station. I'm so happy I did because not only is this unit well built and works like a charm but it also lets me use a third set of speakers, so my KRK Rokit's are back in play. I also like that you can hook up a turntable via the RCA and an iPhone as well because that gives me extra sources all plugged into one convenient device.

Great for multiple computers / DAWs and a reference CD Player
When my Mackie Big Knob 2x2 distorted, attenuated and finally died, I discovered in reviews they were notorious for bad switches and distortion / attenuation problems. So I went looking for an alternative and found the Presonus Monitor Station V2.This thing has two balanced TRS stereo inputs for my MacBook Pro M1 running Reason and iPad Pro M2 2022 11” running Gadget 2, plus I plug an older portable CD player for mix reference into the AUX input. Then I plug my reference Beyer headphones into one of the four headphone jacks, and I can monitor all sources from one place. No more plugging / unplugging headphones into a different interface, and all volumes are independently adjustable. And everything connects through more balanced TRS outputs to my studio monitors, with the possibility of adding a second pair of monitors (an old pair of Fostex timer-aligned boxes worth 6” coaxial drivers) and a subwoofer or third pair of monitors, all independently switchable to test different speaker audio. I hear no added distortion or noise with my admittedly somewhat hearing-damaged 67 year old ears. (A vocal monitor on one side and a keyboard monitor on the other for too many years = tinnitus and high frequency rolloff.)This box is perfect for anyone with multiple audio sources and speakers in a home or commercial studio. The only catch was that Amazon shipped this in the original product box, without any seal or taping whatsoever. It was left on my front doorstep at delivery, where anyone could look at the box, know what was inside, and steal it. Heck, they could have just opened the box and ripped off the unit. Fortunately, the unit arrived pristine without damage.* So Amazon, do a better job of shipping for everyone else. *

It's worth the money if you need it
I am really liking this product so far. Did I need all the features? No. I am not really sure what else is out there that would allow me to switch back and forth between multiple headphones sets and monitors in a solid and trustworthy unit. So, I don't mind spending the money on a Presonus product. I'm sure I could have put something together with a few different products that would have been more specialized to my exact purpose. However, it would have likely cost just as much (or more) in the end, would have taken up more space, and I might use the extra features someday.

Great for my studio
I love my monitor station. It's not as complicated as the more expensive ones out there. The one feature I love is the talk back. Again, this is a basic, very easy setup monitor mix station. For the price, you can't beat it.

Great on paper, cheap AF on parts. functions but will not last more than 3 years.
This very useful but I do have to complain about the knobs.. they suck! Center knob is a very cheap feeling piece of plastic. I can see myself having to replace this in a year or so.

100% better than Mackie's offering
I used the Big Knob for a while, biggest issue with it was line noise in one of the inputs. Tried to clean it, check solders, etc. No dice - I think they just use cheap components. The PreSonus is rock solid. Internal components are much nicer, no noise, feels good. Happy I replaced the Mackie
