DRYBARDetox Dry Shampoo (Coconut Colada Scent), 3.5 oz

This is just too much money to spend on a dry shampoo you don’t love. It left an insane amount of itchy buildup on my scalp & made my hair look powdery white, while also not really absorbing any oil, weighing my hair down, & making it feel super dirty. The smell wasn’t the greatest either. I received an email from Drybar after my order was delivered saying they wanted to make sure I loved the product & asked me to leave a review. I replied to the email sharing my experience & asked about an exchange to try a different formula since they seemed to genuinely care if their customers were having a good experience. They replied back & basically said too bad too sad, it’s an aerosol, so they can’t do returns bc of Amazon. Which is understandable, but don’t send an email out wanting to make sure a customer is satisfied if you’re not prepared to do anything if they’re not lol. Soooo I’m doing what they asked & leaving a review lol. Bottom line: when shopping for a dry shampoo at this price point, you’re better off shopping somewhere that will work with you if the product sucks...& Drybar on Amazon is not that place. Disappointing product, disappointing customer service.

I chose this dry shampoo for the soul fact that it presented itself as coconut scented. I'm a sucker anything that smells like coconut, and I've always had problems with dry shampoos smelling like overpowering old lady perfume.I was so excited to try this shampoo, I practically stalked UPS waiting for it to arrive. However, my hopes and dreams were crushed upon first spray.To my chagrin, instead of being whisked away to the tropics as the gentle spray kissed my roots, I was taken immediately to Maude's Corner Shoppe and choked by the stank smell of floral mothballs. There's no coconut, there's no colada, there's nothing here but crushing disappointment!*sigh*As irritated as I was, the shampoo still works very well. My hair appears clean and has nice body and texture, which I was also promised, so for that I will continue to use it.There's no coconut, but I guess two outta three ain't bad.

I love this brand and have used it before. I thought of getting a different scent this time. would be a good idea Unfortunately I have light hair and it leaves a brownish cast in my hair when I use it. So disappointed. I will go back to using the original one. Otherwise, it does a great job but do not buy if you have light hair. The scent itself is light and not overwhelming IMO. edited to add I ordered the original which I have used in the past ( I am a very light blonde) and Even this one leaves a brownish tint in my hair. Where is the supposed white residue? I would welcome that! Did they change this or did I get defective shampoo? I look horrible after using this and I used to love this!

This is the best dry shampoo on the market—and I’ve tried them all. It’s good for two reasons:1. It actually works. Oily hair is instantly gone.2. It lasts a long time. One bottle lasts me 3 weeks -a month (and I use it frequently) You only need a few sprays and you’re done.It does do on white. However, I have thick, dark brown hair, and the white will fade as you work the product in. It also smells amazing, like the beach. I usually get the lush scent, but this was fun for summer.

I've been a daily hair washer forever! I've tried a number of dry shampoos over the year but none of them worked well enough to keep me from washing my hair everyday. THIS dry shampoo though! I've been able to go 2 (sometimes 3) days without washing and my hair looks great! My hair and scalp have become healthier in the process. It smells great too which is a major bonus! I know everyone's chemistry is different but this stuff really works for me :)
