I bought this foam to treat my room acoustically and it works very good. I’ve covered ~ 5% of my room surface and it works as intended. The foam is of good quality. Of course you can’t expect sound proofing, because to do soundproofing more expensive and sophisticated measures must be used - like to build room inside a room, where inside room is vibrationally independent of the outer room and acoustically sealed. It’s a construction task which involves a lot more than just foam and is very expensive. But to treat echo and reverberation in the room for cleaner sound and flatter frequency response this foam works as intended. Best results would be achieved if 15-20% of the room surface is covered.
