Assembled Perfectly, Very Happy With Purchase
The frame assembled easily. I used the kitchen counter to help assemble it squarely. By pushing down on it from both sides, one at a time, the pieces seated perfectly. Some push pins went in easily. Others I had to use the handle of the kitchen scissors to GENTLY hammer in. I imagine the people complaining they bent hammered them too hard.The frame is lightweight but plenty sturdy to do the job. The canvas was tight and stretched nicely.The only problem was the canvas printed on the cruise ship didn’t have any “bleed” (that’s what we call it in the printing industry). You have to have the frame perfectly centered where the photo is, otherwise white shows on the front. I didn’t get it perfect top to bottom so I purchased a frame to put it in. I hope the frame covers up the white. For this reason, I didn’t install the hardware to hang the canvas that came with this kit.I’m happy with my purchase. I bought one as a test and now I’ll buy two more.

Just what I needed
My daughter was given a stitch paint by number canvas but it was missing the parts to frame it. She spent a lot of time working on her painting so I got this frame to hang it up. The frame is strong and easy easy enough to assemble. No problems at all and the end result looks great!

Used to stretch a canvas painting.

Must buy! The corners have precut grooves.
The media could not be loaded. Very easy to put together. The pre-cut grooves was an unexpected bonus!!! Great quality. I didn’t use the thumb tacks, instead I used my staple gun. Regardless, I think either method works just the same.

using it to decompress
as described wish would have read it more clearly but ok

Splits easily - not for hanging art, just for stretching to pain.
The corners did not go together easily and split when gently tapping them with a rubber mallet. The tacks provided did not hold the canvas in place. For a simple frame for a paint-by-number it is OK, but I would never hang something in it. I would NOT buy this again.

Cheap Canvas Stretcher Bars - Gets the job done
I liked that it was cheaper given how expensive other stretcher bars were on amazon for individual pieces. I used these for my art class to stretch a 20 x 28 canvas which was sturdy enough to use with a staple gun. My teacher was worried they were going to break since they were so thin compared to the ones other students were using, but it worked out in the end. The only issue that I have encounterd with these stretcher bars is that they seem to have very mild wood splitting near the edges. They still fit together nicely despite this, but I will say that they don't have the highest quality wood. I didn't need the middle piece but may it will come in handy.

Disappointed in the quality!
I must say, I'm quite disappointed in these Canvas Stretcher Bars. Upon setting them up, I couldn't help notice the cheap quality! Not only did I get a splinter while assembling them, but many of the nails provided with the kit broke in the process, leaving me to rely on my own supply... For the price, I expected better quality and durability. I will not purchase these again... especially considering they are a bit expensive for just one set of stretcher bars. My friends bought a pack of 4 for almost the same cost, which seemed to have the same (maybe a little better) quality. Don't waste your money!
