I'm Norwegian but live in the US, so I'm very familiar with this most delicious candy. People around here think it's "prank" candy or hate the smell of it, but I love them. They are black licorice, yes, but they also have a small amount of ammonium chloride. Oddly enough, like another reviewer I've also thought they make water taste better. The delivery of the item took a bit longer than I'm used to, maybe a month, but the freshness and quality is the best I've gotten from other vendors on Amazon. They used bubble wrap and a box and it was very well packaged and arrived without a dent. Again, I have to point out that these were the freshest I've had in years. The expiration date (Sept 2022) was one whole year _after_ the next two orders I made of the exact same product but through two other vendors, and I could tell the difference in quality. These still had the powdery "seasoning" on them (the other two did not). I'd order candy from this vendor again, the wait is worth it.

My favorite candy. Eating one of these things feels like I'm eating a pellet of gunpowder. Idk why, but I love them.

Good stuff! Candy for psychopaths. Tastes like salty licorice with ammonia. Definitely an acquired taste.

Trying out different salmiakki (as a supplement to lessen symptoms from GERD) and this brand came up time and again in my research. It is an interesting hard candy, but not the best "salty licorice," in my opinion. It is noticeably "hot" when you taste it. Peppercorns confirmed. It does not have strong licorice flavor. The kicker is the salty center. Whoa Nelly, is that stuff...pure ammonia. With a hint of black pepper. Everyone else in the house hates it. I won't say I like it, but I will say I find it slightly addictive...and will totally buy it again...

The licorice is yummy… sweet, salty & hot I would have given 5 stars but the can the licorice comes in was significantly dented when it arrived.

Good quality Some people find this candy hot. It is very salty, but not hot to me. Tried to share it with my sister, but she found it too hot🤷‍♀️ The paint can type tin kept it fresh.

Interesting flavor! They claim "hot" but ... let's stick with "interesting." Arrived with the can badly dented, reason for only 3 stars.
