13 Month Update:So far so good! This camera is still working perfectly.It made it past the infamous 1 year warranty period. Fingers crossed it keeps on truckin!Original review:I've had this camera for about 3 months now. This is the second camera I've had to monitor the front yard. The first one was a Foscam that lasted just over 1 year (just past the warranty period) before it died. So far this camera has worked perfectly. I've contacted customer support via both email and live chat and both experiences were great. They are very responsive via mail - like within 24 hrs or less. I had some questions about certain settings and they were able to help very quickly. The video image during the day is fantastic and the night view with just infrared and also white led for color is also great. I was really surprised how easy it was to get it connected on my home wifi. Way easier than the previous camera I had. The best thing about this camera is the 30x optical zoom. This makes all the difference in image quality vs digital zoom. The manuals it came with were a huge improvement of the other brand. I love that you can connect it via wifi or hardwired lan cable if you choose to. The second best thing about the camera is that you do NOT need to subscribe to a service to be able to see the live camera output. And you can easily see history by dropping an SD card into the camera so it can record video as well as snapshots and it's all configurable.

Let's see - which problem bothers me the most......I think it has to be the wifi functionality. I have 2 of these - one on the front of my house, and one on the back. Both are within 10 feet of a wifi mesh repeater. I constantly have the signals drop out for seconds to minutes at a time......some times, the one on the back of the house needs to be unplugged and plugged back in to get it to work again after it loses signal.The one on the front of my house also detects motion where there is none - even at night. The PTZ will start going kinda crazy, panning and zooming all over the place with no REAL trigger in sight.The one in the front ALSO randomly resets itself, and does a full tilt down, then up, then rotates all the way to the left, then all the way to the right, and then leaves itself all the way to the right - which is pointed directly at a brick was 3 inches away. Every once in a rare while, it will reset itself to the "guardian position" (their term), but usually, it just stays pointed at my wall.There are also a ton of stupid "secret codes" that you need to contact support to find out about....things like disabling the red and blue flashing "police light" effect, or setting the guardian position. Both are done through entering a particular number in the part where you can select the position preset. No idea why they would even do that - just put a menu on the app and make it easy!!Overall, I purchased because it was a pretty good cost for what it is - the 4K resolution is actually pretty good in all light conditions, and the 30x zoom is handy from time to time..... but those GOOD things do NOT outweigh all the bad. I wont be buying this brand again.

This Camera should Tilt from 0 to 90 degrees. It actually tilts 10 to 100 degrees a total of 90 degrees. This causes camera to tilt past straight down vertical and fail to reach straight out level. The pan feature works fine as does the zoom and night vision functions. The human tracking function works fine but the motion sensing function is unusable. It false calls at zero sensitivity setting both day and night.I have contacted Ctronics by email and they were responsive but after checking the camera online they said it was working OK. The did not check for misalignment only for control of movement.Still waiting for final response from Ctronics.This could be a really good Camera. But unless issues are fixed I will return for refund.At present cannot recommend this camera at any price, It has to many bugs.Will adjust rating if Issues are fixed.Update: Received an email 4/3/24 and Ctronics is sending me a replacement cameraIf the camera has fixed the tilt issue I will be satisfied. so I have increased my rating.If the new camera has better motion sensing performance then I will really be pleased.I must say that service I received was professional, courteous and prompt.Echo LI did a very good job addressing and solving my issues.New issue: HiP2p client software will not work with latest update to Intel UHD graphics driver.I had to Roll back to previous driver for it to display on current screen.Also .265 extension not recognized by 3rd party converters. must change to .h265 for file conversion.

Be mind full this camera is kind of big. Nonetheless it’s a good camera. The only issue is if you are not using the CTRONICS pro app you will not be able to enjoy its complete features. Even though you can still view and work with it on the old app. Granted Í am not a super fan of the pro app but realized that when I used it with this camera I was able to read license plate numbers. It has an automatic focus lens that only works with CTRONICS pro app. Again really like the camera and best part is I bought on special😁.

product does motion detect does not track picture is ok not the greatest used this on my garage

I decided to go with this instead of the trusted Yoluke cameras I already have since this offered a cruise function. The camera is too slow to track a human and it constantly drops off the network when placed 15ft from my router. I tried to do an update and it was already up to date. The picture is great and the zoom focus is very good, it just doesn't seem to process its commands without locking up the camera. Slow tracking very slow.
