ParaGone -  Aquarium Water Additive against Parasites & Fungus on Freshwater & Marine Fish

Reviews that I read seemed promising, but the instructions are extremely limited. You have to go online and download instructions. When you do, Nano tanks are not represented at all, so the chance of overdosing is highly possible. Also, from the instructions, you have to make all of the solution in one go, no mention of it being possible to keep it for further applications, although, they do say that further applications are required. This makes this treatment extremely expensive for the novice and small tank owners. Needless to say, I returned it as it serves no purpose for my needs.

Had an outbreak of white spots last year and I followed advice from LFS and FB groups to just make sure the fish were feeding, kept water perfect etc and it would sort itself out. Well it wiped out 3 tangs and a few others in the end before I got rid of it with this ParaGone treatment. It could've gone by itself without the treatment but I wouldn't know.Since then I kept one in the cupboard just so I can apply it as soon as possibe in any future problem. Apparetly it works best in the early stages.A couple of weeks ago after putting in a new coral from the quarantine tank, I saw slight sign of whitespots again, could be nothing but I wasn't going to take any chances considering the cost of yellow tangs these days. I put my emergency supply of ParaGone in there straight away. Luckily the white spot didn't develop into anything serious and I haven't noticed anything since. The treatment may or may not have stopped it but I wasn't going to chance it. It's well woth the few quids just to have the peace of mind.I'll be getting another one to keep in the cupboard again.
