NN640027338 OG-600W Dimmable Digital Ballast, 600 Watt, Black

As far as I can tell this is a great ballast that really pushes out the spectral energy from the light. Although, as soon as I started running it a loud whistling came out if it, and has been whistling since. I hope the replacement is silent! The replacement is probably as silent as it gets. Although, my HydroFarm 600W fan cooled digital ballast ballast is softer sounding and quieter I am very happy with the fact the Nanolux has better components that produce higher quality spectral energy.

I bought 2 of these to replace a couple magnetic ballasts that failed. I was a little light on cash at the time so took a risk on these. They lasted approximately one harvest, start to finish. One just blew up tonight and popped every breaker in that room with it. I'm not some schlub with a ebay grow tent in my closet. I run Multiple rooms with many thousands of watts, year round. I know what I'm doing, and you cant rely on these other than a quick fix replacement to get you through 1 harvest maybe.

Nanolux makes great budget ballasts and this was no exception. It does MH/HPS lamps with Hydrofarm/Hi-Yeild plug adapters. It is also dimmably. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is it only comes with a 110 plug. I had to make a special trip to get a 220 plug to get this working.

The Ballast Works well so far (I have only been running it for a week), I will update my review if it fails. My only critique is that it has those two fans that will eventually clog up or fail. If it was a passively cooled ballast in the same form factor it would receive 5 stars but I just know those fans will die. Plus with air moving through the unit that means the interior electronics are being exposed to any humidity or dust you may have floating around in the air which means a shorter overall lifespan

EXTREME hash on AM radio for hundreds of feet. Nanolux RFI and Revolution EMI filters did nothing. Same with Nanolux 1000WOG

These new models are much better and I couldn't be happier about my purchase. I currently am running all nanolux in all our rooms. One of my favorite features about this is the soft start up and the slow switching dimmer which both do wonders on sAving a bulbs life. If you hAvent tried these and are contemplating the switch. Give em a whirl and you won't be disappointed. The prices Are also great here on amazon. Well worth the $.

Very handy

I have several of these and so far none of them have burnt out. They seem to run cool.
