Would it be counterproductive to use silica gel packets and these sneaker balls at the same time? or do these get rid of moisture as well?

That would be a great idea. They did not remove the moisture just the smell.

How many times can they be used? Do you have to buy a new set once there are used?

I’m actually still using the original 2 I took out of the package; been almost a year I think I do close them when they aren’t sitting in my shoes. But when they do finally Wear out that’s it. Not “reloadsble”

Once you open up the sneaker balls do you leave them open or close them each time you take them out of your shoes to Weare them

You could do either way, but they would probably last longer if you closed them when not in use. I keep them in my shoes at work so then I just pop them in my snow boots during my shift. Mine are always open since I'm using them in whichever shoes are off at the time.
