Best Annealer on the Market
I have been using this for about a year and half now. Here is what I can tell you;1) It takes a bit of tinkering when you first get it to get it set up and figuring out what speed you need to anneal at along with the preferred flame size. Its easy to do.2) Its made of stainless steel. This thing is overbuilt for its purpose. Its a little tank.3) Doesnt matter what size brass you have. It will anneal it because its completely customizable.4) All of the parts are designed to last for roughly 100,000 annealing sessions so it will likely last longer than you.5) In event something does happen, all of the parts are listed in the manual with part numbers; they are all easy to find, inexpensive, and easy to replace if needed.6) The speed dial is digital. No guess work. And its actually is pretty quiet during operation. Just turn it on and your off and running. It is self sufficient. Just make sure to keep and eye on it because you may have a piece of brass get stuck every once in a while with a funky cartridge. Not a big deal at all. Plus with an exposed flame you dont want to just walk away from it. Thats just to dangerous.7) I caught mine on sale but even at full price its easily worth it, still cheaper and better than any other annealer on the market. Buy it one time and your set for as long as your reloading life lasts.8) It has a smaller footprint than I thought. It stores easily out of the way when not in use. When in use you can put it anywhere as long as you can plug it in (and making sure the flame is pointed in a safe direction).I really think they got the name on this machine wrong. I think its a beautiful little annealer and anyone who reloads should absolutely have this piece of equipment on their shooting bench. Good luck and tight groups!

Simple, durable, and reliable
Everything was easy to set up and tune for different cartridges. Really simple and durable construction. The diamond-coated wheels don't slip at all like some of the rubber ones on other models do.

More than capable. 3/17/2023 Superb customer service. UP-DATE 5/6/23
Purchased an Ugly annealer on Amazon and returned it for replacement. The replacement is much better, and I have very little discretionary things to comment on. This second machine has very few burrs. The fit and finish are very good on this second one.The first Ugly annealer fit its title perfectly. I called Ugly annealer customer service before sending the first machine back and have received sound advice.Bottom line: this machine works very well, good fit & finish, reasonable price, and great customer service.UP-DATE POSTED ON 5/5/23.Started annealing on *.308 win & 30-06 sprgfld. Did these because of the similar diameter of cases and neck size. I had one jam-up, (my fault), otherwise everything worked very well. When first using this unit, you have to locate and understand all the functions and adjustments. My advice would be to do a dry run with no flame. This builds confidence in operation.I varied the voltage, (rotation speed), between 28 - 30 volts. This speed rotated the case(s), under heat for 10 to 11.5 seconds. Using Tempilag, a temperature indicating liquid, and this speed indicated sufficient temperature, around 750 +/- degrees. The annealed case(s) ejected onto the discharge ramp and into a pail of water, this stopping the **annealing process. The annealed cases show heat dis-colorization about .250 - .375 below the shoulder. The cases necks seem pliable but still maintain tension on a bullet.* The cases used are one time fired and same head stamp from on-line vendor.** Heat can migrate to the case body, which is not desirable and can cause case failure when discharged.

Ugly Annealer Australian Made
The media could not be loaded. I Researched the Ugly Annealer designed and assembled in Australia, By watching numerous YouTube videos and reading numerous reviews of several different brands of reloading brass annealers before I settled on the Ugly Annealer. It is Australian made. While some components might have Chinese made parts, this Annealer is very well designed and made. I am extremely satisfied with the quality and ease of use. I especially like the aluminum wheels and caliber inserts for different size brass over other Annealers made in the USA. Why it is named the Ugly Annealer is a mystery to me, as it looks pretty sharp to me on my reloading bench. I did buy a Bernzomatic Universal extension hose #WH0159 from the Hardware store, as well as order the Bernzomatic pencil tip propane torch head #UL2317. I am very happy with the performance and quality of the annealing on my reloading brass. I highly recommend this Annealer to all my Reloading friends.
