I love learning about all sorts of mythology, so this book was perfect for me. This book will teach you all about the various Gods and Goddesses of the Norse Mythology. Learn the actual mythology of the Marvel characters Thor and Loki. It's such an interesting read for anyone who loves mythology or Marvel.

Take a high schooler with a basic knowledge of Nordic history, a penchant for Marvel comics and movies, and doesn't do English classes very well; and let them write a book which appears to be published on a self-publishing site such as Amazon as I don't believe any publisher would take it on. It's as if they wrote a basic first draft of an essay with bits of text dumped in and left it at that. It's repetitive, badly organized, and hasn't been edited properly. There are many grammar and formatting mistakes that are blatantly obvious; not to mention the sentences with obvious missing words. As a book for general reading, why would someone use a technical writing mechanic (nested numbers for chapters and sections) in such a book? And, where, might I ask, are the references and citations? Simply mentioning an author or movie is not a sufficient reference to circumvent allegations of plagiarism.At first, I thought it was poorly translated. That doesn't appear to be the case. It starts with a page of "do not copy my work" and duplicate pictures of the book itself. This is ironic as the pictures, which haven't been formatted for black and white and are horribly dark and grainy for the most part, have been taken from various sites of the internet. There is nothing to indicate that the author has permission to use said pictures. I am the mother of a highly successful and talented author and have written pieces myself, in college with two degrees, that have resulted in a 4.0 average. I was also a very successful proposal and report writer for professors and engineering professionals. I read voraciously and do not appreciate this kind of drivel.I have ordered Neil Gaiman's Norse Mythology book as I know, at the very least, it will be readable and authentic.

This is one of the nicest, easiest book to understand on Mythology. I'm a former teacher and wish I had this book and a course on Mythology. I would have used and recommended this book for teens and up. ITS AWESOME AND I LOVE IT!!

Got this book, and I can't stop reading This book goes farther than just teaching the Norse mythology, it also show you the various types of magic that they used and the power that the Ruins hold. I love all things mythology and this book is very well written and gives a great insight to the Norse civilization.

The actual history about Norse paganism and Vikings was all good but when it got to the actual mythology it was mid at best it talked about marvel for like a whole chapter and there was a lot of mistakes

This book appears to be a mishmash of details presented in an unorganized way. Many of the details seem contradictory to others and repetitive. There is a section of the book that contains details from the Marvel movies that is not explained as current entertainment. There is however another section that does cover modern entertainment that has been influenced by Norse mythology. The images are low quality. I recommend looking for something else if you want clearer details.

Norse mythology ended up being so much more beautiful than I ever even imagined! When you start reading about it with this book, you will never want to stop! It is all so inspiring and remarkable in general. I highly recommend it!
