Great comfort, NOT overly heavy, and a zip that actually works properly. (note on color)
I've been abusing these for three months now, and they've held up fantastically. Like any boot I get I give them a silicone waterproofing, so take that into consideration when reading the rest of the review). These are solid, well padded, above the ankle (8") boots similar to but a bit more plush and padded than the OG US desert boots you'd have gotten back in the 90s-closer to the newer ACB (Temperate) since it lacks to old-style jungle boot soles and has the padded upper collar. That said, the tread on these is GREAT on rocky, grassy, and moderately muddy/wet terrain. There are no vents/drain holes, and they definitely get a bit stuffy in +90*f weather (what boots don't?). The tread is not super deep, but is very aggressive. The rounded profile on the tread lugs helps them shed clumped up mud/grass.In the ~3.5mths I've been wearing them I haven't seen a single loose thread. If you know you know what that means. I'm impressed. With the aforementioned silicone spray I've had no problem letting muck dry and brushing it off and then cleaning any lingering mud with a damp cloth and a suede brush.I will note that the vendor's pic is FAR more mossy green that what you'll get. The 'Coyote" is pretty much what I'd consider "Sand Tan", as it lacks the slighty off-green-brown note of issued USMC Coyote. The insole is NOT super springy/padded, which I much prefer, but if you've got a favorite insert you might consider that. Especially if you've got a crazy-narrow heel, super high arch, or any number of foot-discomfort issues. That said, I'd much rather have a firm base that lets me know by feel what I'm walking on/across.I would add that these seem to run MAYBE a tiny bit larger than advertised. I'm a 13 E (W), I ordered a 13 and do have a little bit of play at the front and arch of the foot. I have duck feet and almost zero arch, so the arch bit is easily explained, but the toe-box was a bit of a surprise. As an added bonus, they came with an appropriately sized pair of coolmax socks, which have also worn and performed very well.I will absolutely order another set of these when the time comes, and am considering ordering the 4.5" model for driving/errands/mucking about in winter, for when I don't want an actual HEAVY winter boot, but also don't want to slip on slush and that sort of thing.

Best bang for buck if you know your purpose
These boots have been through a week-long SWAT school, week-long tactical tracking course, rapelling, and multiple long hikes for a total at the time of writing of about 80 to 90 miles give or take. Overall outstanding performance for cheap amazon boots.Durability: So far so good. Coming up on a year and still using the same laces. No weird deterioration of the tread, or the tread coming unglued from the body of the boot. What these boots are great for:Warm climateHiking through streams and riversHikes where a light boot is neededSweaty boiisWhat these boots aren't good for:Tasks requiring hard toeCold climatesIf your planning on hiking through trails with streams and rivers and you're considering goretex boots, please don't. Goretex is great at keeping water out or in. So once your boots are soaked they stay soaked all hike long and chafe and just suck. So lightweight boots like these are awesome. They'll dry so fast after walking through a stream the sock choice is the limiting factor for how quick your feet dry. Get good wool socks and it's an un-beatable combo. Save the Goretex for winter.Like other reviews mentioned these are really, really comfortable. The grip on Slippery surfaces isn't anything to write home about, (although not bad) and the warranty is an unknown for me because I haven't needed it. Also tread was thick enough to step on spiky plants and small cactus without penetration. Bang for buck, hard to beat.

Durable, Comfortable, Affordable
I bought these to replace a pair of Rocky S2Vs. I didn't need a high-speed warfighting boot, I needed a tan military style boot that felt good, handles being on my feet, and didn't break the bank. These boots are just that! Solid quality with a good sole and traction, really comfortable, and I love the side zipper. I work in public safety so being on my feet for 8-12 hours a day is frequent. These boots handle it really well. Also a solid boot for hiking or really any outdoor application.

Best. Boots. Ever.
My husband doesn't rave about anything. Ever. But he has told anyone that will listen about how much he loves these boots. He literally gushes about how lightweight they are. He describes them as more comfortable than most tennis shoes, 99% waterproof, well fitted, supportive, and slip resistant. He likes the zip up side so he doesn't have to re-lace them every morning but still has adjustable ankle support if needed. He's worn them every day for more than a month and they show little signs of wear. I can assure that they've been put to the test because he does outdoor physical labor, often in extreme conditions. Needless to say, this company has gained a brand embassador!

Getting the job done
These boots are great! Everything you need from the stand point of durability, comfort and function. Very adequate tread and cushion for all day hiking or whatever activity you desire. Added bonus....Ryno gear throws in a complimentary pair of socks with order. 👍🏻
