Ankle Brace for Sprained Ankle, Ankle Support Brace with Side Stabilizers for Men & Women, Ankle Splint Stabilizer Volleyball, Basketball, Ankle Supports for Women (Update M)

This brace helps me so much better the. The fabric one the podiatry doctor sent me home with after my compression boot.

A couple years ago I was involved in an accident that destroyed my left ankle. The surgeon had to fuse bones together, so I've lost a fair bit of mobility with it. It also left me with a permanent limp, and strength issues as well. Since that time, I have been on the lookout for any kind of brace that provides support around my ankle, but also something that helps support it vertically to help keep some of my full weight off of it. This ankle brace does seem to provide some relief from the full body weight issue, and there also is some minor support around the outside of the ankle too. I wear a size 13 shoe, and I'm pretty sure I'm at the razors edge of exceeding the limits of this brace. It is slightly uncomfortable at the part where my foot slides through as it seemed I was at the stretch capacity of it. I still kept it on though because I was curious how well the weight support would be. After getting everything else strapped on, I was able to put my shoe on which was a relief as well because some braces I've tried in the past didn't allow for my shoes to go on over the brace. I wore this brace all throughout the day, and even did some minor yard work, and walking around to test it out. After a while, the brace did seem to help relieve some of the weight problems pressing down on my ankle. I did get a small bit of rubbing issues around my upper angle portion though, but it wasn't too bad. For the most part, this ankle brace does seem to help resolve some of my ankle issues, but with the type of damage I have with my ankle, there is no permanent solution that I can see. Even still, this ankle brace did help some, and for that I'm thankful.

I wear a women's 7 1/2 and got the medium and it's too tight around my foot but the part that bothered me the most is the plastic supports don't even sit on the ankle thus making it useless. Sprained my ankle and was looking for an alternative to the air cast the hospital gave me. This definitely isn't it.

I got this after breaking my ankle. I ordered according to my shoe size but it seems to be too small. The hard sides dosent line up with my ankle bone which made it uncomfortable to ware.

I’m not to sure about the size because I purchased a small due to the fact I wear a size 3 in kids, so I order a small and the whole for your toes to come through it wouldn’t fit. So I then order a medium and it fits perfect

I tried two sizes, neither fit properly. The one that was correct size for my foot would not fasten around my ankle. Why do brace designers not comprehend that an ankle injury is accompanied by swelling? It would have been easy for them to account for this by not being cheap and scrimping on the Velcro straps. The Velcro sticks onto the boot part everywhere, so making the straps longer wouldn't hurt anything but would accommodate different ankle circumference due to swelling. Bad design.

It gives a little bit better support than the ASO with the crossover straps.
