Adult Ultra Soft Oxygen Cannula, green tubing - 7 Ft (Westmed #0556) Case 50

Dad’s oxygen tubes have been rubbing sores on his ears and he was not a very happy camper. Okay, I’ll admit he’s also not a tolerant person, but let’s face it the tubing that comes from the oxygen company is probably bought because it’s cheap and obviously not bought because it’s comfortable for the poor folks that have to use it. So while I was reading reviews because the cushions I bought him didn’t work/were discarded/otherwise disappeared (when Dad doesn’t like a solution, he either tucks it into the depths of one of his drawers or slips it into the garbage, disappearing the offending item to make his displeasure known). Anyway, as I was reading reviews someone recommended buying ultra soft oxygen tubing, which I had never heard of, so I started researching that. The reviews were so glowing for this tubing that I bought it for Dad and well, he is now officially a happy camper again. I wish I knew where I saw that review so I could send the person a virtual hug! What a difference this tubing makes; there is absolutely no comparison to what was supplied by the oxygen company. This tubing is smaller and so much softer; it’s the cat’s meow. Very, very pleased with this purchase.

My father has been using oxygen daily since 10/2018, and was having trouble with sores behind his ears, inside his nose and on his cheeks, from the cannulas that had been provided by hospice. I read some favorable reviews on this product, and although hesitant due to the quantity, I ordered these. I am SO glad that I did. I switched his cannula out for one of these only 5 days ago and already all of the sores are healing, and he no longer winces in pain as I adjust the cannula for him. These are very soft and flexible, they sit closer to the bridge of the nose but are not tight, and the length of the piece going inside the nostril is slightly longer, making for a much better fit all around. He is so grateful we found these for him. I highly recommend them, The only negative thing I can say is that for the first few hours there was a strong plastic type odor, but after that, it was gone. So, solution going forward it to open the package and air the one out I want to use before actually using it.

I have been on oxygen since 2011 after I was diagnosed with hypoxemia. I only have to wear it at night and sleeping in those cheap ones offered by local oxygen supplies was awful to say the least. I had super deep indents in my face and they wouldn't stay on because of the stiffness. These are super soft, smaller tubing around the face, not near the indents of a long night of sleep and they stay on! I have given some to all my elderly friends (mind you I am 38) that use oxygen and they too have stopped using the garbage the oxygen supply stores sell.

The genuine article not a substute product such as other vendors supply.

These are the most comfortable ones I’ve ever had and they don’t have that horrible plastic odor either!!! Will be definitely be buying these from now on. Please keep making these!!!!

I ordered a case of these awhile back and they were fine but I started running low so a few weeks ago I used this same company to ordered another case. All I can say is, with no exaggeration, these smell so putrid, the odor of burning plastic is so strong, that I literally start gagging before they even get to my nostrils. These are worthless to me and I can't figure how anyone else could possibly use these.*I just held a new one next to the very last of my old ones and they are different products. these new ones are a thicker, harder plastic where the others were almost like rubber bands they were so lightweight (and narrower).I washed off the old one which I've been using every day for the past week and I'm going to have to keep using it until I find suitable replacements. I pray I do not get another sinus infection now from reusing the old one. I'm warning you, I'm not a fussy person but these are truly THAT BAD !!!! AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE , they literally STINK !!!!
