I ordered one mat to verify that it met my expectations. When it did, I immediately ordered another one. Each arrived in two days as promised by Prime. Each was shipped flat, using corrugated paper board as a very, very large envelope; so they are not at all curled and have no cracks. They are about 80-90 percent transparent; so, the carpet pattern underneath shows through quite clearly. The material is relatively stiff and seems sturdy. It is far too early to tell how well they will wear. We have chairs with plastic glides, not rollers; they slide very nicely on the slightly textured surface. Nubs on the bottom keep the mats from moving on our low-pile, commercial carpet. The actual size of the mats is 35 x 47.375 inches. We ordered the rectangular mats because the layout of our desk openings did not allow for the T shaped ones.

I can't comment on how well this actually works on low pile carpet for rolling a chair on, I used these to save my floors from my dog, maybe this will help someone else too!I bought two of these because I have a husky that was abandoned that I took in, as a result of her abandonment she has severe separation anxiety and will sometimes attempt to scratch at the floor around doors trying to escape while I am not home. This ruined the bedroom carpet in my last apartment. I found these mats that are 30 inches wide, same as the doors at my apartment, and I put them underneath the doors where she is likely to scratch.I nailed them to the floor about a week and a half ago when I moved into my new apartment and they've held up to her so far. If she REALLY wanted to rip it up I'm sure she could, but it works for my purposes. As an added bonus she loves to slide over them when she's running after toys, haha.$52 for 2 mats and now I can go to work during the day without having to worry about having my carpet and padding getting destroyed.

I selected this mat because of its size primarily. I needed it to fit under a table I'm using to support a VeriDesk. Unfortunately, it is not as ridged as I would have hoped. It buckles against the wall as I move off and on to it from another chair mat at my desk. I'm going to try to slide it under the other chair mat to see if that eliminates the movement and buckling of this chair mat. In over 30 years of operating a medical office I've purchased my fair share of chair mats. In every instance before this one, the mats are packed and shipped flat. This one arrived rolled up in a tube. The label says "allow 48 hours to un-curl" but this one remained curled and would not lay flat on a carpeted surface without intriducing undulations. I threw it out after asking Amazon for a refund.It's probably the decision to roll for shipment that makes this a turkey on arrival.

This mat arrived rolled up in a long rectangular box. It was very difficult to get it to lay at least a bit flat on the floor. I let it lay there with anchors in the corners (so that it wouldn't roll up again) for 10 days. Now it's just a big plastic thing with hard, wavy wrinkles and useless for any chair to roll over.I'd return it, but it's so stiff that it I can't get it to roll up again, so how to return it? I guess that I'm stuck with it.I give it one star because you have to give it something but my advice "Don't but this".

I love my new chair mat. It was just perfect for the area 48" x 60" behind my desk in my craft room. I am surrounded in that area by all my cutting machines, sewing machine and other embellishments that I need to get to easily. My chair was always 'hanging up' on my low pile carpeting. This new mat completely solved the problem. It was a little pricey but worth every penny because it made my crafting life easier.

First off, it measures at 29"x 47½" not 30"x 48". It is indeed for 'Light Use' and 'Very Low Pile Carpets', meaning it's very thin, dents easily if too much weight is applied and has little to no grip. I would return but it generally serves its purpose of saving my carpet from my chair; I would have liked if it wasn't smaller than advertised, that extra inch ½ makes a difference on such a small mat.Overall: I would recommend buying a different mat if possible.

Seller was great, product wasn't so great! I work from home and need a chair mat however my old one was cracking and had to be replaced. Purchased this one due to the shape and price. After using it for one day I found out that it really didn't grip the carpet like the other one I had. It was so thin that it was bowing up where the chair rolled on it. I would not recommend this product for carpet.
