I liked how this training aid has videos on YouTube that you can watch and perform the workouts. I bought this aid with the hope of refining my golf swing because after an injury my handicap has risen from a 3.5 to a 5 handicap. So after training with the Golf Forever aid for 2 months I believe that my golf will improve to the point of getting back to a 3 handicap or lower. My 3 iron is now 50 yards longer than one of my playing partners & we used to be about the same distance with our irons. I’ve also encountered playing in nasty weather in Florida this past weekend but I still scored well. My golf swing is now more battle tested under rainy conditions, windy conditions, & cold weather conditions. Thanks to this training aid I’m looking forward to this upcoming golf season. I’m so excited about going lower this year and winning more skins money from my golf buddies. :) Game Over!!!!Update! I noticed that a reviewer below my post mentioned how you get more bang for your Buck by purchasing Forever Golf aid from Dick’s or directly from Forever Golf. So I looked into this and I found out that he’s right. They throw in extra pieces and an extra band. Oh, well. It pays to do your homework before buying anything. I think we sometimes get caught up with trusting Amazon & enjoying the convenience of shopping with them. But they don’t always have the best prices. And now we know.

I purchased the GolfForever system about 2 weeks ago. It came with everything as advertised: Pole, 2 plastic ball weights, Bungee with plastic carabiners on each end, handles for bungee cord, door anchor, bag and cards with QR codes for signing up.I logged into the app and had to give my credit card information and signed up for the app, which I can cancel through the phone app before the 30 days so I don’t get charged the $24.99/month or $199.00/year charge for using the app.The app is well done with a dashboard of your progress and links to your daily workout or the library of videos. Pretty easy to navigate and use. One of the cool things is they give you a way to evaluate yourself at the beginning and tailor your workouts to your level of fitness and flexibility.I have 2 phones, one personal Android device and my work phone which is an iPhone. I loaded up the GolfForever app on my Android device first. I tried to connect it to my TV for the first workout and couldn’t make it work, so I worked out from my phone. This works but isn’t ideal. For my second workout, I downloaded the app to my iPhone, logged in, and connected easily to my LG TV that has Airplay. This was much better! Until my phone went to sleep. It turns out, that when the app gets interrupted, the video you are watching goes back to the beginning of the video. There is no way to fast forward from the phone or from the TV. Oh, it will look like you are fast forwarding, until you hit play and then it goes back to where it was before you started fast forwarding. Very frustrating!!!! I submitted an email to them just now and will be interested in seeing how they handle it. Will follow up.Overall, it is a pretty good system. Time will tell how the plastic components hold up. Not thrilled about the cost of the app, but the app and the workouts are nice. I will likely pay for the first year and we will see if I stick with it and the workouts actually help my fitness and/or play better golf.

First the bad news, it's not only expensive, the default renewal fee for the app is the yearly rate ($200) not the monthly rate ($25). Once your trail ends and you enter into a contract, you can't get a refund. So if you only want to try this out for a few months, then you should change your account's renewal from annual to monthly BEFORE your trial runs out.The good news is that the product is top notch. Quality hardware and software. I have a projector in my golf room, so I use the website to follow along. Nice big picture on the wall, which is much more fun that trying to follow along on my tablet. It's like having a personal trainer in the privacy of your own home for just $25 a month. Excellent instruction. I highly recommend this product if want to consistently workout and get more strength and flexibility.

Great golf fitness aid, if you stay committed.

While the subscription price is steep, I’ve found it is worth every penny. The device itself is sturdy and of premium quality. Combine it with the videos and routine and I’m already feeling more flexible in the hips and back. My turn on both the back and downswing is deeper and more fluid. This is translating to a modest gains in yardage but, more importantly, I don’t seem to have the same post round soreness.I imagine once you get a feel for most of the exercises you could forego the subscription, or find videos on YouTube, but I will admit I like the program and goal aspect of the instruction so if you have the budget, it’s worth it. If not, get all you can from the trial period and just continue on without the sub.
