Completes the chair
I always wanted an Aeron Chair, but couldn't justify the cost in my mind. So, for years I've bought knockoffs, chairs with a pellicle like seat and back, or often a conventional seat and just the back with a pellicle like fabric. I'd usually spend less than $300 for the "almost Aeron" chair, and inevitably be disappointed. Finally, I broke down and purchased a genuine Aeron chair. It was much, much better than the knock offs. Was it worth the high price? It's still hard to wrap my head around the cost, but it is clearly a better chair than any I've had in the past. The only thing it needed was a head rest. I can't believe that Herman Miller missed the opportunity to sell a headrest for the Aeron chair. Remember, this chair has more options than a new car... posture fit, lumbar support, a variety of arms and casters. The one unavailable option. and, IMO, an absolute necessity, is the headrest. So, looking for a comfy headrest that matches the chair, I came across this one. I once was 5'10" though age and gravity have taken their toll, and I bought a size C chair to accommodate my girth. The H3 is a perfect fit for the chair, looks like an OEM part. It allows me to lean back and chillax in comfort, while pondering or napping. The H3 was a better fit for me than the H4, not to mention $30 less. Which brings me once again to the issue of price. Is it reasonable that this little piece of plastic and fabric should cost $149? No more so than the cost of an Aeron chair reaching $7-800 or more. Nevertheless, it's a great chair, and the headrest makes it complete, a vast improvement over the headrestless version.

Like it was designed by Bill Stumpf on day two..
The design mimics the original Aeron design and complements it. Certainly it becomes the most prominent element as it sits on top of the chair. The good thing is that it takes that honor seriously. The headrest speaks Aeron and does its job efficiently. I recommend it.

Still need to adjust it once in a while. Looks tough on a Hermann

Works for Steelcase Leap v2
I bought this to use in a hack to attach a headrest to the Steelcase Leap V2. If you haven't heard of this, search for it online for pictures. Essentially you use black zip ties to secure the headrest to the top of that chair. It's pretty easy and doesn't look too shabby in the end. This headrest makes it far more comfortable to lean in the Leap, and it's a useful guide so you know where to keep your head while sitting so you don't slouch.

Supportive headrest. Minor issues when using with headphones.
After some adjustment, this headrest is definitely an improvement over not having a headrest at all. Installation is very simple and the quality of the material is nice. Finding the right positioning does take some trial and error. It took me about a week of adjustments to find what worked. However, the headrest does curve around the back of your head quite a bit. This can make it get in the way if you have bulkier headphones on. I find that I have to constantly tilt the headrest back whenever I want to use my headphones. A less aggressive curve would address this issue. Because I have to move the headrest back when I have headphones on, I find that the headrest position is not always in the same spot it was before. Having user-definable presets or having a less aggressive curve would solve these issues for me. Other than that, the comfort and support for the head is there.

Pretty good product.
I was a bit skeptical on buying it after reading the reviews but I am quite happy with the product. It is stable along the vertical axis once you tighten the screw that latches on the chair. For the tilt and height adjustment on the headrest you can easily adjust them by adjusting the screws on the headrest. It come with the a hex key which helps with the adjustments. I would say that the price is a bit high but, then again the official parts of the chair are quite expensive too.

Ergonomic’s are important in your home office. I was surprised.
Now that I am working from home and spending several hours at my desk, I wanted to set up chair in my home office to replicate what I had at the office. This was the final touch. I didn’t think it was important at first however after 3 weeks at home I found my shoulders and neck becoming stiff. So I started to try to understand why. Oddly enough, it was my posture when sitting for hours. I purchased the headrest only because I have one on my work office chair, surprisingly enough it has made the difference. Ergonomic’s are important, more than I ever realized. Great product at a great price.
