Best knife I’ve ever owned
I love the aesthetics of the original 110 but it’s a real lump to carry around in your pocket, and I’m not much of a belt holster kind of guy. This makes some small but important changes to the original, and winds up being pretty much the best pocketknife ever made. First, the addition of the thumb stud for one-handed opening makes it infinitely more useable. Then the lighter weight and thinner profile makes it easier to carry wherever you go. And the pocket clip and fancy high tech steel are the cherry on top. I put off buying it for years because I already had a 110, but I’m glad I finally pulled the trigger. It’s now one of my prized possessions.

Exactly as advertised
This isn’t a bad little knife. Much lighter and thinner than it’s bulkier counter parts. I’ve been carrying the 110 Hunter Sport for a while now, wonderful knife but just a touch too big to be a “pocket knife”. This is my first 112 and the blade is the perfect size for EDC. This knife comes with the S30V blade and the G10 handles that feel very comfortable in the hand but durable at the same time. Dropped a little oil in it and it feels like it will be in my pocket for a while. Very pleased with this purchase.

Solid solid knife wish I could keep it but
I can't in good conscience keep this wonderful knife as I have some american made spyderco's that do the same job and I want an s30v 105 Pathfinder that's 170 bucks...so, there is NOTHING I don't like about this. Little tiny thing is that I am super used to my spyderco's and I do ALOT of cutting around the farm. This one would be a beautiful piece next to my orange accented gshock and my KTM etc, But I can't afford to so I may have to wait for the less expensive version of this to be available. Love the knife, it's everything my spyderco's are, maybe stronger, and a better color!! I'm returning it tomorrow before I change my mind but you don't have to, so get it if you like it no fear!

Nice blade
I am a man with small hands who was looking for a knife suitable for cleaning small game. This knife is an excellent choice for me, but I think that it should be $25 cheaper. The blades is made of very good steel (CPM-S30V). It is as tough as many super steels. It is fairly good at keeping an edge (even though some super steels beat it for that). And it is very corrosion resistant. Maybe more important than the steel is the heat tempering process. Buck (Boss) is famous for their heat treatment. The blade shape is the iconic Buck clip point beloved by hunters everywhere. The scales are G10 and are textured to allow good grip while not being abrasive. The clip is nice. It is black, small, and allows deep carry. It was also slightly uncomfortable to me in my grip when I think about using it for 30 minutes. So, I removed it. Now, the knife fits my small hand perfectly. I suspect that those with large hands may have a different opinion. The knife has two big knobs on the blade. I like that because this knife can NOT be easily flicked open with a single hand. I find it easiest and safest to use my thumb and forefinger of one hand on the blade to open it while my other hand holds the knife steady. I can open the knife with one hand, but I have to be careful to exert a lot of force to push the blade open. The blade will snap close if you aren't careful. Those two knobs on the blade also act as a good thumb rest for me when I grip the knife. It is a lockback. Some have complained about the force it takes to unlock the blade, but I did not have a problem. The handle is not reinforced with steel like my Benchmade Mini-Adamas. That means it is not as rugged but is lighter. It is a lockback, that means that washing it out is not as simple as with the Mini -Adamas where water can flow straight through the handle. Still, you have Buck's forever warranty with a good steel and very durable G10. I like the blaze orange color that will help me keep up with the knife. Blade dimensions are 2.97" long, 0.74" wide, and 0.12" thick. Cutting edge is 2.57" long. Handle is 4.17" long, apx. 0.77" wide, and 0.38" thick. It is supposed to weigh 2.8 oz. It is small and light enough to easily carry in your pocket.

Knife is TIGHT
Love the blade & the handle, BUT the lock and the blade are VERY stiff. Can't open the blade with one hand, & if you try it will close on your fingers. The lock & spring are so tight that it takes both hands to close the blade. Needs a LOT of work to be a excellent knife.

Great EDC Knife
I've been waiting for a high quality American made knife using modern steel and materials under 3 inches for a long time. I prefer my everyday around the house knife to be a slim profile clip point and the 112 is perfect for that. It's not heavy and doesn't take up alot of space in the pocket. The fit and finish is just as good as any of my Benchmade or Spyderco. It is a lockback which isn't as convenient as an Axis lock but nothing that is a deal breaker. I loosened the torx screw a little and that made opening and closing a little less stiff.Definitely no complaints here.
