Easy to install and it felt nice and firm to me. Needed them to hang a 5ft mirror on the wall. Worked great. Note: package says allowable load is 1/4 of "ultimate load" which is going to be significantly less than the numbers you see advertised. If you're careful then I'd feel comfortable loading them up to 1/2 of the "ultimate load", but I probably would not recommend going beyond that. Especially if you need the load held in tension.

I've used scores of these over the years. They hold solid, easy to install and use. And they are reusable. Unlike pop-toggles, these don't have a part that drops behind the wall if you need to remove the screw. These are the poly- plastic wall anchor only. You need to purchase screws separately. I purchased number 8 screws to go with these on Amazon. Amazon's choice; #8 x 1-1/2" Phillips Pan Head Self Tapping Screw, Pan Head Sheet Metal Screws Wood Screws, Stainless Steel 304 (18-8), 100 Pack. Work perfectly together.

I installed 6 of these, and not one time was I able to pop open the anchor with the plastic red tool. It just bends. Using more force would break it. So I used them as is, not popped open. The screws expanded them enough to hold firmly. It should be ok. I am positive my drywall thickness is 1/2" as required. I would suggest using a nail the size of the plastic tool instead, to pop open the anchor.

These are my go to anchors now. If they punch through you can insert a screw in it pull on it as you tighten and it will secure itself. Make sure you use the red pin to push it open before screwing it.

Works well when the air gap is restricted behind wall. I prefer the other style otherwise. You won't be able to expand the wings if sheetrock is larger than the listed range, best to know wall thickness and air gap behind size

I love these toggles they are the only ones that dont rip up my plasterboard walls and yet still work
