Poirot
Great series but confused as to why collection 3 is 1 disc of series 3 and 3 discs of series 4 when collection 1 and 2 are series 1 and 2 with 1 disc from next series in each. Good to relive my childhood Sunday nights though.

Usual Good Episodes
Usual superb acting by David Souchet's Poyrot and company: Inspector Yapp, Captain Hay-Stings, Miss leymon !!! Just the thing for a night in with a few good murders!

I enjoyed seeing these stories on television
I enjoyed seeing these stories on television. I have now watched two of them on this DVD, and I am enjoying them again, and appreciating more of their construction.

Jacksy
A Brilliant finish to Suchet's Poiot, he really excelled himself, especially Curtain; I thought it might be rather maudlin but it was so close to the book

Christmas Pudding
I've seen most of the David Suchet (and other) Poirots over the years but had long wanted to see 'The Adventure of the Christmas Pudding' again. We had, however, been thwarted by the fact that it also goes under the name of 'The Theft of the Royal Ruby'. By an investigative process Poirot himself would have been proud of, we tracked it down to Collection 3 (episodes in the 'Collections' series also differ from those in the 'Series' series!!!!). A simple little story (I prefer the longer ones) but shows Poirot's (or perhaps Suchet's) more light-hearted side.Six other stories in this Collection, my favourites being 'ABC Murders' and 'One, Two Buckle My Shoe', but all are worth revisiting from time to time.
