For Women Only Discussion Guide: A Companion to the Bestseller about the Inner Lives of Men

This book made a world of difference in how I understand my husband.A friend gave it to me when I was engaged, and I was a bit skeptical, since I've read a lot of relationship books (Men are From Mars, Women are From Venus; His Needs, Her Needs; Letters to Karen; The Five Love Languages, etc.). I can say that hands down, For Women Only was the single best relationship book I've ever read. It is short and easy to read, but packed with information and ideas on how to better understand and interact with men. I found the men's survey answers especially enlightening, because it explained a lot about how men think, and I understand my husband a whole lot better now.Unlike a lot of relationship books, which have a "silly men, they just don't get it" tone, For Women Only treats men with respect. The companion book For Men Only is also terrific. I asked my husband to read it as my birthday present, and we still use some of the analogies in it when we're talking things through.

I have been married for over 14 years and I just discovered this book. It has been life changing! I really understand my husband so much better now. He has opened up to me more because of this book. I would highly recommend this book to couples and even to singles. It will definitely improve how you relate to men. I just wish I had read a book like this early on in my marriage....I think I would have avoided a lot of heartache for both my husband and I.

This is best used in a group setting. Individually it may recommend a few books to you but thats it. And It should encourage guys into some of the talks in a structured way if they are willing to do so accepting the position(s) among more ladies (Not all of whom they maybe all that close too.) However, The too books I think positivly could help your man(men) see the positives of speaking about these things/topics and encourage the discussion and learning eventually. Which I haven't yet found a book that does that. And that IS INVALUABLE. EVEN THOUGH THEIR ARE MORE SECRETS I'M SURE THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT THEM THAT THIS BOOK AND WORKBOOK DON'T HINT MUCH AT ALL AT. WHICH IS SAD. MEN ARE OFTEN HARDER TO READ SO SOMETHING LIKE THIS BOOK IS MOSTLY NEEDED BADLY WITH THEIR HELP OFF COURSE.!

This book was recommended to me by my cousin and Im so glad that I took her advice in reading it. This book opened my eyes to many things regarding how men think vs how women think. I love the polls they took to show their points. I have recommended this book to several friends since I have read it.

I ordered this to use in our small group but ended up writing my own discussion question and using one or two of the guide questions from each lesson. I found that more specific questions led to better discussion and more participation.

My wife and I read "For Women Only" and its companion, "For Men Only," together and loved the experience so much we recommended it for our Young Marrieds Group. This discussion guide made that group experience one of the most memorable and well received studies that we have done as a group in the last eight years.
