30" Heavy Duty Monarch Butterfly Habitat, Outdoor Collapsible Insect Mesh Cage Terrarium Pop-up with Zipper Protection and Unzip Bottom

I am very impressed with quality of these enclosures. I love the height and weight, and the fact the bottom is removable for cleaning. The zippers are sturdy and easy to open and close. The mesh of the screen is sturdy and is an excellent for supporting the chrysalis and the cat as it js. I bought 2 initially, and have launched over 20 monarchs and 1 queen. I could use 2 more. C’mon Prime Day!

I love the design of this tent. First, being black you can see through it more clearly, unlike the white ones. Second, the inside of the zipper has a lining. That’s convenient because if a caterpillar crawls on the zipper, they won’t get injured when you unzip it. It also has a double zipper which is essential for raising butterflies. It’s a good quality tent and I definitely would recommend buying it.

This is a quality heavy duty butterfly enclosure. I could easily fit parsley plant inside. It has loops at all four bottom corners to stake down like a tent (stakes included). Strong wires on all side seams. Popped up easily for instant set up. Very pleased overall. Found it to be very roomy for raising Swallowtail cats too. Price was good for 30” butterfly enclosure. Also, was very happy with informative booklet that was included about Monarch and Swallowtails. I am new to this and found it to be quite helpful. I’d definitely buy this item again. I didn’t rate for gift giving, but if giving it to someone with passion for nature I’m sure they’d be thrilled. As far as cleaning the bottom is cloth. I did separate order for a mat to line the bottom with to make poop cleaning easier. My only one complaint was that I opted to pay for shipping rather than free shipping because it was supposed to arrive on Sunday instead of Tuesday that way. Unfortunately it didn’t arrive when it should have. I had five Swallowtail cats when I left for work Monday morning. Enclosure arrived while I was at work. I was so anxious to come home and set up their enclosure just to find I was down to only three. A bird must have got two before I could safeguard them. I guess that’s nature, but I am glad the remaining three are now safe from being killed by wasps or eaten by birds. I can’t wait till these three turn into butterflies so they can be released. I was reimbursed the cost of shipping without asking for return.

This works great. We raised a couple giant swallowtail butterflies. This is well made and protected our chrysalis from being eaten The size was perfect and held up well in rain & wind storms.

This is spacious and great. It seals nicely, but unzipping can disturb the chrysalises or caterpillars in their J form.

Our family found our first monarch caterpillar and we were very excited. But we have a variety of birds and animals in our yard and were concerned that the caterpillar would be injured or eaten. Most of the mesh butterfly habitats that we found had a solid floor but we didn’t want to rip our perennial milkweed plant out of the garden, we wanted something that we could put in place. This habitat was just the ticket! We were able to unbox it and install it over the milkweed plant (and caterpillar) in about 5 minutes. The floor unzipped and came right off, and the stakes did a good job of anchoring it to the ground. (You could also use landscape staples.) There were some gaps around the bottom where the soil surface is uneven but I just pushed a bit of mulch into place. The materials and build seem to be of good quality and as I said above it was very easy to use right out of the box. 10/10 would buy again!

This is a durable, high quality enclosure. I was using a lighter duty one for a long time but a local cat damaged the netting. This one has heavy duty nylon netting which is stronger. It also has a protective cover in the inside of the zippers to avoid hurting caterpillars who wander in that danger zone (see photo). I like it a lot.

Nice quality item, great value. Creates shade and mesh is fine enough to keep out unwanted creatures yet allows you to mist the inside from outside.
