I bought this artwork paint by numbers for my husband for his birthday. He likes to do little things like that and it’s very nice very easy to see very easy to paint on the canvas with the artwork that was needed, including paints and brushes.

I finished painting a gnome for outdoors and looked for another similar gnome to paint. I didn't find anything I like but did find this paint-by-numbers canvas. Ample instructions are online through Google search which will aid me in painting it. Of course, it needs a canvas stretcher to hold it in place while painting it and it needs to be considered when purchasing this canvas paint-by-numbers.

CLAIM: "HD COLORED CANVAS Different from ordinary black and white canvas, we use color canvas. It is easier to distinguish the numbers, easier to use, and the eyes are not easy to fatigue."FACT: No, it's just black and white.That said, the paints are good quality, brushes are good for a beginner, and the canvas was folded, but it can be ironed straight.It's a little misleading, as there's no way you're going to get the results as in the advertised picture. It is also a serious time commitment. But I'd say worth trying, for sure, and definitely worth the money!

This was a fun one to paint and actually not as difficult as the other ones I have done lately. The only issue was some of the areas had no numbers so I just guessed. The paint went one well. A few of the color I had to do two coats. I finished one in about 3 days only working on it a few hours a day.

If you are fascinated by the moon, this painting will be delightful for you, making a great piece for your home. The kit comes with a canvas, paints and brushes only. I framed the finished product by buying a set of five 16×20" pre/mounted canvases from Michael's for $12, tearing the existing canvas from the frame and mounting the painting with push pins on the back (now i have 4 extra canvases for other projects or kids play, but overall one cant beat the price for getting a frame). The painting is beautiful, colors are vibrant. In areas with a lot of the same color, touch up may be needed after the initial application, however there is plenty of color supplied. A very cost effective and relaxing way of creating something beautiful for the house.

I found this project rather frustrating. The kit came with a photo of how the final painting is supposed to look like. I don’t know if anybody else’ paints were the same but mine had the same color (black) for the whole area under the moon. That didn’t match the photo so I ended up substituting the black paint that was supplied for this project for dark gray (pots #2 and #11 were black) As usual, some paints were too thin (yellow and orange) necessitating re-painting of the same area.Overall, the painting looks good but it wasn’t in my top 10.

Painting came out exactly as it was depicted beautifully & highly recommend!

This painting was fun to do and looked gorgeous when completed. I hadn’t done a paint-by-number since childhood, so the complexity of this design caught me off guard at first. I wondered if I had bitten off more than I could chew with so many tiny blocks of color. With perseverance and the help of a magnifying glass, I slowly completed the image and was delighted after every session to see the picture slowly forming. I love the results now that it’s done.I ran out of only one color: the black (#3), so had to buy a tube. Some of the paints went on unevenly, which wasn’t necessarily bad. It meant that an area would show variations of the color rather than one solid shade and gave a nice effect. For the lighter colors, especially the oranges and yellows, I used white paint to cover the number first so it wouldn’t show through. I also bought some extra brushes with finer tips to handle the tiny, narrow areas of color.The image may look daunting fresh out of the package and you may need a lens to read the tinier numbers, but it’s a joy to paint.Oh yes, there is an accompanying paper with the image and numbers printed on it in case you can’t read what is on the canvas.

The picture that comes with this is 1 i ch by 2 inches. Need a magnifying glass to see it. The canvass was all wrinkled and bent due to shipping in an enveloppe instead of a box. Have t used the paint yet so can't comment on that. The. Umbers on the canvass are fairly visible though.
