thought i would let everyone know that this cover lasted almost 7 years in New England weather and i just replaced it with a competitor's blanket and i am already concerned about the flimsy-ness of the new blanket. wish i had purchased from Sun2Solar this time. Highly recommend

We purchased this in August of 2022, along with the stand that rolls it up at the end of the pool. It was a great investment for the year, it helped keep the heat in during September and October allowing us to keep our pool open longer. It was also helpful when opening the pool early last year as we were able to turn on the heater and keep the pool at temp. The downfall is that when the cover is on, the bugs and leaves that land in the pool do not circulate to the filter basket and I have to take time to skim the pool before using it because all the stuff is against the wall under the cover. Not a deal breaker but not convenient when you don't have time to skim then swim. Unfortunately, when we put it away at the end of the season last year it started to fall apart and was worse when we pulled it out this year. I will have to replace it and will be looking for a different one. If this is only a one year product, I don't want to spend $200 a year replacing it.

It raises the temp of my pool by more than 10 degrees and eliminates a lot of the chemical lost. I also find it keeps the pollen out of the pool

While it does save money in energy costs (allowing us the keep the heater on from April until the end of September - but only sparingly need to use it; here in North New Jersey), this cover only lasted two years (this latest cover was purchased in Aug 2022 (and only used in 2023 and 2024). I should note: at the beginning of the second year, it already started tearing. It would be nice if it was more durable (double reinforced) at the front end (the end that gets handled more (pulled on) when you actually cover the water up). It is sad that this much "heavy bubble wrap" is now headed for the landfill because it's too brittle to use another year.

𝗔 𝟰𝟬% 𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗿 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀!In 2017, I purchased this exact same item for $127.96 with a seven-year warranty. That cover barely lasted seven years before I had to replace it.---In late Sept. 2024, I purchase the exact same item for $177.92 from the same vendor. This item is of thinner quality with a much lighter weight. It has only a six-year warranty. It's stickier like Saran wrap making it harder to control.---I think that this is another example of how our economy has worsened in such a short time.
