Worked perfect for grooving asphalt crack to then melt hot tar into it. Also used it on concrete
I was amazed at how this cutter worked. It cut through the asphalt like butter; well almost butter, but way easier than I ever thought. I thought it would pull the grinder as it cut, but brand new it did not, and cut through the asphalt easier than I expected. It was the first time I've ever used a tool to cut a v or u groove into asphalt. Previously I've always used a chisel. OMG, this is so much more efficient, faster, and made a clean groove as I followed the crack right across the driveway. It threw up a lot of asphalt dust so wear a mask, and glasses.I went about an inch deep, think I could of gone deeper, but it was a very small thin crack so far, that best I fixed it before it got bigger in the years to come, through seasons.I blower blew out the finished crack of the thick dust that was all over, blew it off, and then melted / filled the groove with hot tar ...OMG, it came out perfect.Anyway, the crack chaser blade cut, helped make it look real professional indeed, and was so easy to use.Expensive, yes... I don't regret it though, and have it to use again if needed for some more times going forward.2024 Edit:I had another opportunity to use this on a concrete garage floor that had a center water drain, but the water in one portion of the floor did not flow to the drain properly because of improper leveling, so I made just a small surface cut from that spot toward the drain using this blade, and that did the trick, the pool of water does not form anymore and drains properly. The blade cut the concrete like butter, wow, and it was so easy to doBy the way, I've attached an image of my Makita GA4030K grinder with this EDiamond Tools 4.5" Crack Chaser Blade mounted on it, my point is to say make sure you mount it in the right direction: Always mount the blade with the arrow on the blade pointing in the direction of the rotation of the grinder. It's important that the 'working back pressure, while using the blade while in contact with work ...is actually pressured Toward Tightening - Not Loosening.

Works great in Granite Boulders!
Purchased to grind "V" grooves (straight lines) into Granite Boulders. Used in 4.5" angle grinder. This wheel grinds unexpectedly fast and with deep grooves for my project. Ground .5" wide x .5" deep grooves for a total of 6' long . No perceptible wear on wheel ! Lot's of dust, but that's expected. I was thinking of buying an extra grinding wheel as a back up when I'm in remote areas. No need. This grinding wheel will last a long time!

Worth every penny
I had cracks with that gray caulk already in them. I dug out as much of the patch caulk as I could and then used this to clean out the cracks. You need to get the majority of the patch caulk out, but then this will clean that crack up with no problem. I had extensive cracks criss crossing a garage floor and this cleaned them up in no time.

Works Great
I bought this to open up cracks in my asphalt driveway so I could lay pli-stix into them with ease. This baby made easy work of the asphalt. The only problem i had was the old latex crack filler that was in there already would gum up the grinding wheel. This is not the crack chasers fault. Just know that if you have that stuff in there it will be a problem. I was able to work through it in the end. The spots where I hit just pavement this thing worked like a dream. It also held up after hours of use. Still looks new!

Does exactly what it says it does
I ground about 400 linear feet of concrete cracks. Although the tip got rounded, it's still grinds perfectly. Worth every penny!
