Much Better Than Sabrent Enclosure for Crucial SSDs
I tried using a Sabrent USB 3.0 enclosure for a Crucial 4TB SSD. That enclosure presented the drive to Windows as an HDD drive and the combination generated errors that needed to be repaired by chkdsk every week or so. I tried 2 different Sabrent enclosures with the same results. I thought the drive was defected and Crucial replaced it under warranty. Unfortunately, the replacement behaved the same way. After switching to the Eluteng enclosure (on a whim actually), the drive was properly identified as an SSD by Windows and it has not generated any drive errors since. I've since replaced both of my Sabrent enclosures with this one.

Fantastic
I help family with computer problems and usually get paid with old laptops. Most of each laptop ends up in some recycling facility, but I've always kept the harddrives. These devices are perfect for my stock pile. I purchased 2 initially, then got two more a week later. It's plug and play, works in linux and windows, and just look plain cool when running.being from China, I was worried about the rice-sized hacking chips the CCP puts on some boards, but when i plugged them into my computer and monitored system logs (dmesg, if you know Linux), and didn't see any unusual activity. I'm satisfied with that check.Overall - great product so far.

in my MacBook Pro. I would buy one of these again
This was a very simple hard drive enclosure. It's neat to be able to see the disc through there, and it was extremely easy to assemble. It came with its own cable which is good because it's not a standard cable, and it works fine. I had no problems when I swapped out my old hard drive for a higher capacity hard drive in my MacBook Pro. I would buy one of these again. I probably will take the drive back out and put some kind of decorative identifier on the inside to jazz it up as well as make it a little easier to identify which drive it is. I have some other enclosures that are totally solid color black and I'm always forgetting which one is the hard drive from which computer. That's why I like this one, For now I just put a sharpie name on the drive and I can see which one it is immediately

AMAZING AND INEXPENSIVE LITTLE HARD DISK CASE FOR SSD
These are very surprising little enclosures, nice and cheap, I literally assembled an SSD hard disk in the dark one morning before the sun came up.I opened the box, figured out how to open this case just by feel. I inserted the SSD, it mated perfect, slid the cover on, plugged it in and formatted it.Cheap and easy. It manages 250MB per second on Black Magic speed test, pretty good for $12. Mine included the USB3 cable. I bought two of these so I could have a spare. Maybe I need to buy another SSD for the spare case :-)Happy computing to all!

This works with Raspberry Pi 3 B+ with no SD card needed.
It's a case for a hard drive, I have no intension of backpacking, canoing, or snorkeling with it. There are many to pick from, but this was for connecting an internal SSD to a Raspberry Pi 3 B+ and have the Pi boot, without an SD card. Reading forums, I found many have issues with connecting a Pi to SSD, due to the cable/connection. If your looking to connect a Pi this one works.Btw, make sure your power supply is correct, 5v 2.5amp. You will need a microSD card initially, for setting the boot config file, then you can remove/re-purpose SD card. I went with the clear case and you can see the flashing lights at night. If that will bother you, choose the darker color.(Edit: I installed it and afterward read the instructions. If you are using this item for something other than Raspberry Pi's, it has a well-written booklet that describes how to format and setup for your particular needs.) Even if you don't know what MBR and GPT partitions are, the booklet will walk you through it.)Well-packaged and highly recommended!

Amazing little case
Amazing little case. It is plug and play, however, if you throw in a brand new unformatted HDD, you'll need to go to your Control Panel and format the drive before the computer will recognize it. Your computer will discover it in Disk Management, however, it's not like a small USB flash drive, it won't just show a storage location that you can start using until you format the new drive...but that's not this devices fault. Good little product, 2.5" HDD fits very snug-like, seems quite sturdy too, the clear case is pretty cool and the little blue LED is pretty bright.

Wow, nice item!
I purchased this nifty little item to see if I could salvage the hard drive from an old laptop I planned to toss out. I was delighted to find that this enclosure works beautifully! Just pop in the hard drive and plug the included cord into any USB port on your computer -- no power cord necessary. Very easy to install, and I re-formatted it with one click, giving me a totally blank disc. It works like a charm! I now have a portable 500 GB external hard drive to back up my thousands of vacation pictures. Nice item!
