The last box we tried would not detect our dogs bark, even when they were right next to it. The only reason I gave this 4 instead of 5 stars, is that it is very sensitive. The lowest setting will pick up anything - we set it off multiple times just by talking and I had to turn it off because I felt bad for the dogs since it wasn't their fault. Also, if you have sensitive ears you can hear this. I hear a high pitched tone when it goes off, but my fiance doesn't hear anything. Overall, it is effective - it is the only tool we've used so far that has worked on our Blue Heeler, sometimes it just works too well. Sensitive - very good at picking up sounds
This is a great sonic bark box. The last box we tried would not detect our dogs bark, even when they were right next to it. Worked for a week
