I’ve been using Honeywell for years. I’ve always used the drum type, but my second one finally burned out and the newer version is way too expensive now for my budget. So this one is almost perfect. I would have given it 5 stars it it was a bit louder! I know that sounds weird but I’m caring for my 90 year old mom and she’s always listening to her tv on very loud, she refuses to wear a hearing aid. So I use my air purifier as a sound barrier between her room and mine, basically white noise! I’ve gotten so use to the sound I can’t sleep without it! The three days I waited for delivery, ugh! I went insane. I will get use to how quiet the full power sound is but it’s still too low for me! When this goes I’m going for the higher powered drum again.

I’ve been using my air purifier for about a month. My kids and I have allergies and it was recommended by our allergist to invest in an air purifier especially with the winter months coming and the fact that we have pets and are allergic. I must say I find the size to be perfect. I love the light that lets me know my machine I working and the levels of allergens in the air. One thing I must say is I don’t have a problem on low or moderate running of the purifier. I did notice when it turned red and the air was being purified at the highest level. It sounded like my tower fan which isn’t so bad but some may be bothered. Over all the replacements seem to be cheap. So I’d say this was a good investment. I have another air purifier that cost me $1,000+ and I think this purifier has done more than the really expensive one I have.

My wife was skeptical, and gave me grief for buying. We have 2 dogs, both shedding machines. I set it up in the family room and let it run on high for 2 hours. She came home, and immediately commented on the the lack of dander and dust floating in the evening sunbeams. And I enjoyed being smug. But not outright smug, just a "told you so" grunt.

Honeywell is the company to go to for anything related to air. I highly recommend this machine. I bought it because of the Canadian wild fires coming to NJ, and it did the job.
