Exactly what I would expect for the price point
*****UPDATE: I’ve cooked with them for awhile now and still reach for them often. They have never been in the dishwasher and are usually cleaned right after use and the nonstick coat still functions well - much much better than traditional nonstick has ever held up for me. The stainless steel looks great with the use of barkeepers friend. The only complaint is a pinpoint chip in the coating of one pan. I usually never use metal utensils but had to once and that’s how it happened. So definitely only use wooden or silicone utensils. Still very happy.*****I’ve always loved to cook but have been taking it more seriously over the past year and a half and realized that the tools I used were important. I never really considered it before and certainly never spent more than 150-200 on cookware. I began to replace my non stick caphalon for all clad copper core and have loved the transition into cooking with stainless steel. It’s been quite an investment - but it’s been worth it to me. I do see a difference. That said, sometimes you just want a non stick pan! And my husband certainly finds them easier. So when I saw this set as a deal of the day - I took the plunge. I wanted ceramic nonstick because of the health factor - I don’t mean that they allege non stick means less butter. I’m only concerned about exposure to chemicals/toxins - with ceramic no chemicals are leaching into your food. I expect ceramic will be slightly higher maintenance and not quite as easy as traditional nonstick but it’s worth it to me for my family’s health. In terms of build, they are exactly what I would expect for a $400 price point. They are on the heavier side being that they are stainless steel and solidly built. From what I just prepared they cook nice and evenly - much much better than my hard-andonized capholan where there were always cold spots. The 5qt pot has a draining spout built in to the pot and lid. I love this feature because it will make pasta so much easier. The pots are also oven safe up to 400f which is also convenient but I probably will not use them that way. Bottom line - they are definitely quality pots and pans-from build to performance. In terms of care-yes it’s dishwasher safe but the ceramic coating can degrade over time so it’s probably best to hand wash. Avoiding metal utensils, also something they can allegedly withstand, is probably also a good idea. I currently use bar keepers friend for my stainless steel pots and pans and it’s amazing - no bleach or abrasives that can harm your set. There are also cleaners that are especially formulated for ceramic that I plan to try. With proper care, I’m hoping they will last at least for a little while and hopefully I can avoid the “film” that some reveiwers have experienced. I do expect that at some point they will need to be replaced - that the ceramic non stick coating will degrade enough to require a new set. That happens though with traditional non stick though so I’m expecting it. I’ll report back in 6 months - so far I’m impressed and have high hopes for this set based on my initial use.

Love this pan set so much!
I love this pan set! If you're on the fence, just get it!I was skeptical from a few reviews that said they're hard to clean or that food will stick. READ THE CARE INSTRUCTIONS! You don't use high heat on these pans, you don't need to! Cook at a lower heat (medium/low) and get the same results you would cooking on high heat. Don't use spray oils! They just get sticky...use real oil, let the pan pre-heat and you're good to go!DON'T stack pans in the sink or cabinet, use a pan holder in cabinet or little pads between. After cooking, if you can't wash them relatively soon just wipe it out with a paper towel until you can wash it. Washing is so easy, no scrubbing needed at all! Just a soft brush and a little soap. They have been holding up just fine and look brand new still! I've had them for months and I LOVE them! They look high end and cook like a dream.

Frustration From Day One
I received this set today, and literally as I was washing the larger saucepan for the first time, a 1/4" piece of the nonstick coating flecked off. When I looked at it more closely, it appears that there is actually a slightly larger area that's loose, but only the very center of it fell off. The saucepan has never been heated, and only ever has had Dawn disch liquid, warm water, and a sponge in it. I figured "OK, stuff happens, don't flip out."I called Greenpan's customer service, let them know that I had bought the set on Amazon and described what happened, and was told to e-mail what happened and pictures to the warranty service address. Which I did. About 45 minutes later, they e-mailed me back and told me that they couldn't resolve my issue and that I had to talk to Amazon about it. Which I did. Amazon won't replace the defective pan only; I either had to return the whole set or take a partial refund and buy a new pan. I chose the latter. But they didn't tell me that they don't sell the Venice Pro 3 quart saucepan individually...so I had to settle for a non-matching Paris saucepan as a replacement. It'll be here...in a week. This may be the single most frustrating purchase I've ever made; I've spent most of an evening fooling with something that isn't even my fault, and am frustrated beyond belief before I've even had a chance to use the stupid cookware. I gave the set 1 star, because I literally have no idea how it actually, you know, works...but so far, 1 star is 1 too many.

6 Years So Far - Best Pots/Pans
I’ve owned my set for six years now with minimal wear and tear. This is hands down the best pots & pans set I have ever owned!! I would buy this set again and again. Very few times have so used metal utensils on them. They have been through so many washes in the dishwasher and still look amazing! Look no further, spend the money - it’s so worth it!!
