This is the third time I have purchased this sharpener since 2013. They last a long time but you eventually need a new one. Very easy and quick to use. Can have a long sharpening session or bring it out for a quick touch up. Easy to keep my expensive kitchen and steak knives razor sharp. My Uncle Bobby always said, “if you want people to think the steak is tender, hive them a sharp knife”. Very stable in the kitchen counter and the handle keeps your fingers out of the action. There is a place to put water that keeps the stones from getting hot and damaging the steel.

I’ve have had my two global knives for at least ten years. They were in dire need of proper sharpening; I’ve tried some some other Santuko sharpeners but my steel seemed to work the best however my non Asian knives seem to cut better - the condition of my knives required quite more than the recommended 8 strokes, especially after an overzealous in-law used used an western profile sharpener. The edge had really been lost, worked it, reworked several times and it now cuts like I remember. Even more impressive is that my G4 which has a curved tip got the edge back. The trick was to apply a bit more than the recommended pressure as a pushed the curved front section through. Wish I’d gotten this sooner.

Exactly what I was looking for to sharpen my global knife. I used this and my knife is like new. Cuts as good or better now that it is sharp again. It has been a year since I got the knife. Easy to use and takes care of the angle for me.

The media could not be loaded.  I've been using Global knives for several years, but I had never sharpened them until today. I think my video says it all! My knife was "resurrected"! As you can see, it's extremely easy to use and the sharpener works like a magic. Watch your fingers!

Worth every penny! It sharpers Global knives amazingly. This unit is needed to keep the kmives sharp.

La pietra per l’affilatura più fine va bene ma l’altra sconsiglio di usarla per coltelli professionali in quanto potrebbe rovinare la lama. Nel complesso va bene per uso comune

This is a Global product but was bought for non-Global knives. Thought it would be better than it was but maybe will be fine on Global knives. I don't think it's particularly good value for money.
