Goes in really, really smooth.

Like the other Mr Hobby Finishing Surfacers, this goes on smooth without any problems when thinned 1:1 with the appropriate thinner. However, the opacity with the white primer isn't quite what I would expect.I sprayed over a standard gray Citadel plastic model, and I couldn't achieve the bright white I expected. The primer seems ever so slightly transparent.I used a vortex mixer for several seconds to ensure the primer was mixed thoroughly before adding to the airbrush, so I don't believe that was the issue.I love this stuff in black, but I don't know how much I will be relying on the white in the future.

This stuff is the perfect primer, goes on smooth and is good enough to clear coat if you want white. You really cannot find a better product for plastic than this. Combine with Mr Color Leveling Thinner and watch your paint jobs improve!

Needs to be diluted about 50-50 with MrHobby Leveling Thinner for airbrush. Applies beautifully by airbrush. Paint applied beautifully to this surface. But it's a lacquer with high odor and VOCs. Also, if you use this is the same airbrush with acrylic paints, you must be very disciplined to use the correct solvents to thoroughly clean the airbrush between paint types. That said, great performance as a primer. Same goes for the Black & Gray.

I used the surfacer to cover a roughened surface. It left a smooth, ready-to-paint finish.

This stuff makes light work of a sanding project where you need to inspect the surface before painting. It's self-leveling, and allows the modeler to inspect areas where sanding work has been completed, as well as putty areas that have been repaired or prepared for painting.Similar to Tamiya products, but just better, IMO.
