Simple & effective
My skill level at separating eggs is not high. It can get messy. This little tool has been a great help. More egg white gets into the bowl now. I do find I have to use a small bowl to get the spoon to latch onto it, leaving my hands free to crack the egg. (Sadly, I still have to crack the egg.) But it's no trouble to add the egg whites one at a time to a larger bowl when I want to make an omelette. In the interest of heart-healthy eating, I use my new egg separator a lot. It's a breeze to hand wash, and it can go into the dishwasher too. The gleaming stainless steel makes this a very attractive gadget -- and very sanitary.

Slits Are Well Cut On This All Metal Spoon
This spoon is purpose built for separating yolks from egg whites. Crack an egg into the spoon, let the yolk settle, and you can gently shake your white into the bowl under you. It's wide enough for white and narrow and deep enough that if you accidentally pierce the yolk, you can easily maneuver to your recovery bowl without a problem. The spoon is also durable enough to withstand dishwashing with no notable changes to the slits when sent through.

Works like a charm. Does exactly what it supposed to
Works like a charm. It does exactly what it supposed to do. It separates the whites from the yoke and you get a complete yoke that goes into your other bowl. No breaking no yellow in white and no white in yellow. There’s no egg whites left. And to think that I was going to get something else that was like a dollar cheaper. But I looked at the reviews a he said it wasn’t good that the egg yoke would slip through it. Not with this one. It sits right in the middle and the whites come out of all four sides and then you take the yolk and put it into your bowl or dispose of it. I love it. Nice and sturdy. Easy to clean..Others have said they wish they would have some type of a handle so that you could use it in a bowl but I had no problem at all putting it across my bowl cracking and check over it the right drain out and go to the next egg. But I do understand that some people would want it to be a bit longer. But I don’t need it to be longer. It worked fine.

Works pretty well, but not on bigger bowls
I separate a lot of eggs making custards and meringues, and I'm pretty good at doing it by hand. I got this to speed the process up a little. It takes a little tilting and such to get all the whites through, so unfortunately it's not necessarily any faster, but on the plus side it doesn't require quite as much caution. I also wish it could fit on a larger bowl. While the handle is broad and has a nice substantial curve, the other side is just a teeny projection with a very, very slight curve. If you have it on the wrong size bowl it falls right in, which means I have to separate over a small bowl and then transfer the whites to something larger for whipping.

Works Like A Charm
Before getting this egg separator, I was using my hands to separate eggs. With this nifty little tool, I don't have to worry about getting my hands messy. It was bigger than I expected, but still worked like a charm.

Not Robust enough to efficiently use this product!
The Whole idea behind buying this product was to save time and make less mess (than my traditional method of separating yolks by transferring between two egg shell halves) everyday when preparing my 6 egg whites omelette for breakfast. It doesn’t reduce the time of doing so. Moreover it’s not robust enough to firmly sit on top of bowl/container (despite being designed for such). It topples into the bowl easily, ruining the separated egg whites. Git it last week and only used 3-4 times. I wanted to return it, but it doesn’t have return policy.

Sometimes it Works
I have a hard time with this. Apparently, I don't own any bowls that this will fit on. It will almost sit on a bowl if I put part of a towel under it on one edge of the bowl. Sometimes it will separate the yolks; sometimes the yolks go through the slots. It's stainless steel, so it's strong and can go in the dishwasher, but I just don't find it all that helpful. I'd rather just put the eggs into a bowl and use the bulb from the turkey baster to extract the yolks. That works better.

Works Perfectly!
Very good product! It works perfectly. You don’t need to use a knife to crack the egg or break at the side of a bowl, just use the top of the product to crack the egg easily. If you keep your eggs in the refrigerator like I do, let the eggs thaw a bit before you crack them. This allows the white to easily separate from the yolk. When the eggs are cold, the white comes out clumpy, which could break the yolk and cause it to flow into the white.
