My First Mandalas Coloring Book (Dover Mandala Coloring Books)

I have an art therapy degree. I used these books for art therapy art bags that I sent home for my first graders during the summer and current Covid isolation and trauma from racism and American violence. These mandalas circular shape and strong boundary lines help will little ones with centering, focusing, and creating a sense of calmness. Many mandala coloring books are too sophisticated in design for little ones. Not these, these are simple enough that little ones can differentiate shapes and designs. I will also use them to teach little ones about patterns. Also.. if children have not yet developed a sense of pattern in their coloring, these manadalas are simple enough that coloring without pattern will not turn the mandalas into a disorganized mess.

Love the size of the pictures to color. Some coloring books have tiny-tiny places to color; but, not this one. I took it to show my 95 year old mother and she liked it. I told her I would order one for her and she asked if she could just have that one, so I gave it to her and came back home and ordered me a new one. If you want to have some larger pieces to color, this is the book for you. I'm trying out different coloring themes/schemes....complementary, triadic, analogous....and this is the perfect book to try those schemes.

It is a good book for young kids just learning to color mandala style. The pictures are not as detailed as the adult mandala books, but do help kids to use their imagination and use different techniques of coloring. Both my girls ages 5 and 7 both enjoy them. It does help them practice coloring within the lines. The pictures are back-to-back, so not really made to hang up afterwards.

My grandchildren always want to color in my adult coloring books, but I never let them because of the complexity of design. I know that they will get frustrated and quit. Coloring is meant to be fun and relaxing, so these pictures are good for young hands, brains, coordination and not so difficult but just perfect for youngsters. Also, if you are an adult just starting out in coloring, these would be good for a starter set along with some good colored pencils or crayons. The designs are fun and crying out for some color!!!!

I purchased this to put in my Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child box. I don't know where my gift will be sent to, but I figured that the impoverished country it will go to will not have children who are familiar with Disney characters. These patterns are interesting for children of any background to color and decorate.

My 7 yr old really liked this coloring book. It was a little young for her but she colors A LOT, and she does the easier pages in my adult coloring books. It has nice paper but the drawing are back to back so the kids need to use colored pencils, no markers because of bleed through.

I was looking for something different, something that would be somewhat of a challenge for my five year old granddaughter to color and learn from. "My First Mandalas Coloring Book" has fit that bill better than I ever dreamed. She loves coloring everthing in the circles. She has learned what a mandala is. She is so excited to color in this book. She often asks if I would like to color a mandala with her. It gives us one more reason for us to do something together.Thank you Amazon for having the best available for us.

THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL BOOK ,ALTHOUGH ON BOTH SIDES OF THE PAGE WE GOT ROUND THIS WITH OUR GRANDCHILDREN BY PUTTING CLEAR WHITE CARD THIS PREVENTS IT BLEEDING ON TO THE OTHER SIDE

Again a fabulous buy good quality designs and can fit in any age group ,the kids loved doing the colouring.

My 5year old his cousin loved it. Kept then entertained for hours one afternoon.

El libro es bueno, lo compre para niña de 5 años , le gustó.No es para colorear con plumones ya que dañarían los dibujos del reverso.

Buen material para niños. Lástima que los dibujos vienen en ambas caras de las hojas lo que hace que no pueda usarse plumones
